Hi Folks,

Does anyone have a link to someplace selling the 2010 map updates on DVD? Also, would it be less expensive if I just purchased the update to my nuvi 660 from Garmin rather that the entire maps on DVD?

I've noticed my Garmin Nuvi (with last year's maps) does not list Costco locations in the database. Has anyone created a POI list of Costco locations around the country? Sometimes when on vacation, I find that I could use something I know Costco sells, but I have a hard time finding the nearest store without an internet connection.

I am trying to load the updated Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and keep getting an error message about line one. Anyone else having this problem? The error is "Data format error on line one".

I have City navigator NT Europe 2009 on my SD card. I want to load City navigator NT North America 2010 on the SD card also. But every time I up load City navigator NT North America 2010 it over writes my City navigator NT Europe 2009. It seems to only let you put one map image on the card!
Anybody no how I go about putting both these maps on the same SD card.

I was just wondering how do you all keep your poi up to date. Do you just keep them all in the same folder with the original download file name and download new ones and overwrite the old one or do you rename them? Also do you load them all together and have 1 gpi file or do you load them individually and rename each gpi file?

The newest one I can find is 2007 and its not current. Any one knows where I can get the 2008 or 2009 Shoprite POI?

Please can you tell me why the Garmin Nuvi710 switches off when pressing the ADDRESS and INTERSECTIONS icon.

Wouldn't it be neat if POI files could do this?

Be an all inclusive file - 1 file that holds the gpx and the icons and the sound files.
It could be named a .gpz.
For example this is the way the java jar files and firefox extensions files work.

After looking through posts, the last general discussion on MSN Direct was started in December 2008. Since this is a newer service, I was wondering if it has improved (or has gotten worse)? I'm in the Syracuse area, so if anyone happens to have MSN Direct in that particular area, I certainly would be interested in hearing about coverage.

Nuvi 750. When I go to Tools, My Data, Import, I see a lot of entries that are listed Mapquest 568, Mapquest 635, Mapquest 962, etc.

What States and where in those States does Lane Assist show on Garmin 765T? Thanks in advance.

I have a Honda CRV (2005). Under the center vents is a compartment with a door that opens horizontally. I attached the adhesive disc to the inside of the door and affixed the suction mount to it. I attached the Nuvi 765T and it works very well, shading the unit from sunlight and positions the unit in a convenient location.

I was told by Garmin that the 255W does not play media files, but the particular technical response guy could not be sure if it would play a wav file, that was included with a TourGuide.

I would appreciate a little assistance.

What is recommmended to upgrade to? I was looking at the 760 but it don't have lane assist and is a discontinued model from garmin.

Not sure if anyone one is interested but today when I was messing around with my Nuvi 785T I figured out a cool trick. If you have the MSN Direct on your GPS when you click the menu button on the Top in the Middle it shows the Current Outside Temp. If you push the Temp it will bring you directly to the Forecast. It saves you from having to go to Menu> Where To> MSN Direct> Weather> Forecast.

Traveling to FL from VA down I95 using c340 (2009 maps) with Cracker Barrel alert set in manual mode for 5280 ft.Made this trip several times.Never received alert for passing any Cracker Barrel from I95 due to the location being more then 50 ft off the interstate.If selected go to then I would receive the alert once I left the interstate and was on the road the Cracker Barrel was located on.This h

I wonder what would happen if the speed limit sign on the GPS caused you to get a speeding ticket because the speed limit sign on the road has changed. I was driving the other day and the Nuvi said the speed limit was 50 and the sign said 40 and it didn't change.

Has anyone installed this new map update on the Nuvi 7x5 series especially the 785T Unit (Garmin_RMU_CNNANT2010C.exe) does junction view and 3-D Buildings still work. Any issues anyone notice with this update.

Is there a way to increase the distance notification prior to arriving at a rest area. The current file that I have signalls me when I am at the rest area rather than when I am approaching the exit for the rest area. This defeats the purpose of the alert.
