Does anybody know which satellite system they use? WAAS or EGNOS or both?
With the old C340 you could choose, with this one there is no choice.

It all depends where you
It all depends where you live...
The WAAS and EGNOS systems use geostationary satellites to broadcast correction info.. Because these satellites appear fixed over the equator when viewed from the ground, they can only be seen over their intended coverage area.
In North America you can only use WAAS because from North America, you can't see the EGNOS birds. WAAS only serves North America.
In Europe, you can only use EGNOS because you can't see the WAAS satellites from Europe. EGNOS only serves Europe.
I'm pretty sure the newer receivers will automatically lock on the proper signal for the region they are being operated in.
