POI's not showing up

Go to where to,extras and touch custom pois and you should see them.

That's what I'm saying, they're not showing up.

Did you save the poi files to your memory card?

Or perhaps to a Custom Folder rather than the Garmin Device (on the first POI Loader window)?

I saved it directly to the garmin. I also tried saving the .gpi file to my hard drive and copying it over. Neither worked.

Please state what you are telling POI Loader to do with the files. POI Loader can put the files on your computer's hard drive named "Poi.gpi" in which case your GPS won't be able to see them. Do the files you are loading have either .csv or .gpx extensions?

If you've done it right, you should be able to find them on your 880 by going to:

Where to? > Extras > Custom POIs

I had saved custom POI's directly from the GPS and those are showing. Anything being brought over from a .csv isn't.

The first screen I click next. The next screen I have selected in the Save Options : Garmin device then I click next. Then the loader finds my device, then I click next. The install custom POI's is selected, then click next. In the directory I have the folder that contains my .csv files, distance is MPH and express is selected, then click next. Then I get a Congratulations message. I then go to 'Where to: > Extras > Custom POIs and I get nothing.

Strangest thing. It worked when I disconnected my Garmin from the power source. Thanks for the help.

When my 660 is connected to my PC via a USB cable for loading POIs with POI Loader, it can't be connected to a power source at the same time - only one connector.

How did you have your unit connected via USB to the PC and also to a power source at the same time?
