Geographic Limits
Are there any geographic limits to Custom POIs?
I have been creating sets of POIs for my forthcoming trip to China and I don't seem to be able to upload any beyond 115 degrees east - effectively excluding Beijing and Shanghai.

Waypoints or POI ????
ok, here is what I am trying to do and if someone could lend a hand.... I am looking to ride my motorcycle from the DC area down Skyline Drive, which connects to the Blue Ridge Pkwy and take that to something that will get me back to FL. My problem is that I want to create the route on my computer, upload it to my Nuvi's SD card and kinda go from there.

Stop import prompt on startup
I figured this out once but can't seem to remember how I did it now. when ever I load new POIs to my memory card it prompts if I want to manage new data. I keep my POIs on my card so I don't want to import them, but it prompts every time I start up. is there a way to get rid of this? TIA.
It's a Zumo 550 FWIW

Garman 350 - Slow Bootup
My Garman 350 is 2+ years old. Recently, I noticed it took much longer to boot the 350 up (from pressing the "on/off" button to the appearance of the "Agree" button on the screen) . In addition, it also takes much longer for the unit to find the necessary number of satellite connections. Any suggestions?

Nuvi 660 security lock glitch?
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation with a Garmin Nuvi(mine 660). I am aware that if turned on with a certain security zone that the GPS will recognize and boot; but, I have found that if I am at a different location and simply power up the unit, after a certain period of time (a few minutes), it will go to the "view map" page.

On my 260W only the ferry avoidance option is checked. Do you check U-Turns and dirt roads?

Loading POIs
Hi. I am new at this web sight. I have one question. Is there a way to load POIs by state rather than by File Categories? Can I load the POIs for the state I live in being restaurants, shopping, schools ect. Thanks for any help.

New User Loading POI Files
Have a Garmin Nuvi 260w. Cannot load POI Files? When I download from site it only allows opening in Excel format. Need detailed instruction....Please help!

Nuvi data and actual speed limits
Has anyone else noticed that Garmin data regarding posted speed limits is significantly inaccurate in various parts of Southern Arizona.
Example;
Cortaro Road, east of I-10. The actual speed limit is 40!
I-10 through downtown Phoenix, there's a speed camera just east of the tunnel, posted speed is 65, Nuvi says 55. I couldn't believe that one....

Can these files be seen on google earth?
I downloaded a poi file of a scenic drive I am going to take along the Blue Ridge Pkwy and skyline drive. I sucessfully uploaded it to my sd card within my gps. Is there a way I can see the route that is plotted on google earth or anything else?

Help. Garmin nuvi 360 problem
I just had the problem yesterday using my Nuvi 360 on a trip. Normally when the vehicle icon goes along the purple highlight direction trail, the purple highlight will disappear once the vehicle icon passes it. However, now the purple trail will not disappear once the vehicle icon passes over it.

Jill vs Jack
I have noticed that Jill and Jack American TTS voices handle words/street names differently. In my neighbourhood one street is called Westbrook Ave.
If I use Jill, she calls it Westblook Ave. but if I use Jack, he calls it right Westbrook Ave.
POI's not showing up
I have a Garmin 880 and I've run POI Loader serveral times. None of the files are making it to my device. The loader is saying that they were uploaded.
