Hello, all you people who know what you're doing. We bought the 880 a few months ago (turns our we adopted an orphan, but that's the way it goes.) Up until a week ago, the nice lady would tell us the name of the street we were to turn on. Now that has changed and she just says things like turn left in 300 feet.

Just got back from a two week cruise. While on the cruise I liked to check the ship's location with my NUVI 350.

On the second day out I accidentally dropped the NUVI on the deck. When I first tried to turn it on all I got was a white screen.

Ok. I am new to this. I downloaded a POI file -walmart stores- then wanted another file - mouth-watering barbecue places - but the second file replaced the first in the Extra folder on the Garmin.
I thought you can have more than one POI file on the device. Am I wrong?
Can you have multiple POI files downloaded?

Does anyone who how to do this, as i dont see it anywhere on your profile, to delete a product, as i have just sold my old unit and got a new one,

I have seen a lot of people posting that they would like a GPS unit designed exclusively for over the road long-haul navigation and delivery trucks.

Sounds like it would be very good for large RV unit owners also.

I don't seem to be getting traffic alerts with my 760 and MSN Traffic any more. I use it every day during my commute in Chicago and I used to get a warning EVERY SINGLE DAY during rush hour going home of an average delay of 10 minutes or so. When there was an accident or something significant, the delay notice would be 20-30 minutes or more.

I hope it would help others on their decision, too.

I was out of continent for three weeks. Came back only few days back. Now, looks like MSN Direct traffic flow info in Toronto area disappeared.

Hello everyone and before I get started here, let me thank all of you that replied to my original "more confused than ever" post. I learned alot from your replies ( never owned a gps before ) and i've pretty much narrowed my list down to 2 or 3.

Apple just (5 minutes ago) announced the ability for developers to build turn-by-turn directions into their iPhone GPS software. Only hitch is that due to licensing problems, they will have to supply their own maps, and will not have access to iPhone's maps for the purpose of turn-by-turn directions.

Is there any hope for Garmin developing a Nuvi iPhone app? That would be sooo sweet.

I had my POI files on the SD card in my NUVI, and one day in a hurry I clicked Yes to install them onto the nuvi, which I did not mean to do.

My question is...Is there any way to move the off the nuvi and back onto the sd card?

I use garmin edge 705 for the bike especially when I travel out of town. However, I would like to edit the start and stop point of routes downloaded. What is the easiest way or site to do this on. I prefer to use routes off mapmyride.com as they are usually loaded from riders in those areas where I am traveling. Thanks.

I am looking to replace my C340. I already have a Nuvi 780 and I want another Nuvi that is preferably a widescreen and must have the capability to input lat/long coordinates. I am trying to keep to the low end of the price spectrum so I am not planning on another 700 series. What would you recommend?

i notice a new speed camera on Barton ave in Chattanooga tn has anyone loaded it yet on the files i tried couple of months ago but it never pick up the speed camera when i approach it after i had downloaded the files on my nuvi 660 thanks guys i need help

I'm new to GPS and, up until this problem, it has all been good. The problem is, I downloaded from this site POI's for winerys in the Okanagan, BC, Canada. Loaded them just fine but when I look at them from my location (Edmonton, Alberta), the mileage (kilometers in this case) are wildly out. I'm approximately 1000kms from the wineries but my new Garmin 780 is showing 550 - 600kms.

Garmin went out of their way to help this guy out after he dropped his 260W and broke the screen!
