Avoidance options

On my 260W only the ferry avoidance option is checked. Do you check U-Turns and dirt roads?

depends on what you want to avoid.
if you don't want to drive on dirt roads ... you check it.
if you don't want to make u-turns ... you check it. (gps directs you around the block instead - no matter how big the 'block'!)
etc. etc.
Avoiding
When the freeway is gridlocked, I go into avoidance and add a check mark to Highways. Otherwise, the route will keep trying to put me back on the freeway. Avoiding Highways keeps me on the surface streets.
