For those here with an interest in GPS devices beyond automobile navigators, the Garmin eTrex Touch was announced Tuesday, 30 September 2025. I am interested in this because it may have the potential to be a multi-purpose GPS device. My interest in this would be primarily for biking.

I just wanted to post this because I know there was discussion in the past of Garmin GPS owners not having 12 volt power outlets in their vehicles. These Gonifeto brand cables are available in 3 foot, 6 foot, 10 foot and 15 foot lengths. They have either a USB-A or USB-C plug on one end. Also, the 90-degree angle downward mini USB port would work well for many Garmin automobile GPS devices.

Some may recall the Garmin Mobile PC years ago.

What would be a suitable replacement these days?

Would the Garmin GLO 2 work with a laptop on Windows 11 with suitable maps? I might also consider an outdoor product and spanner mode.

I just noticed that my old Nuvi 245w has got a microphone on the right side while my 205w doesn’t. The 245w has no bluetooth so it’s certainly not for making phonecalls. I’m interested in why the microphone is there if anyone knows?

I have searched for Garmin Nüvi 245w microphone and found nothing but a manual for the 205w.

Garmin Express v7.27.1 is available for PC is now available. This version includes the following changes:

I recall some discussion of Garmin Dashboard Disc years ago, but I have never had a need for it until now. Looking back at previous posts, one of the concerns was the adhesive coming loose and the GPS falling. For those here that use the Garmin Dashboard Disc, would you recommend it? There is a spot on my RV dash that might accommodate the disc.

Would the Support folks look into this please....?

So I’m having another old Garmin, and this time it’s a Nuvi 245w. I don’t find any information about it, and I wonder why? I know it’s very old but I’m curious about why you can’t find much information about it. If you search for Nuvi 205 then there’s a lot of posts about it.

Garmin has the new map update for City Navigator North America available, version 2026.30.

For the last couple days, Amazon has been selling the Drivesmart 76 for $200 (33% off list price). I ordered one, and it's shipping directly from Garmin. So far, none of the other gps retailers I've looked at have matched the price. Is Garmin dumping a soon-to-be-discontinued product, or has Amazon just talked them into a temporary very good price?

My wife and I have a class c motorhome. It has a Sony XAV-AX8000 that we use with Google maps on a Google Pixel 6 most of the time. It works okay most of the time.

Hello, I'm having trouble all of a sudden with my unit to where I cannot get a connection to Garmin Express, nor POI Loader so that my computer can find my unit, and that I can add Custom POI's to my unit.

I'm trying to download Garmin GPX files, but they never complete. Is there some trick to downloading that I'm missing? Or is the process just really slow? It's been 20 minutes and 430 KBs downloaded so far.

My nuvi 2689 recently decided to have "Home" about 3 to 4 miles from where it originally was. I didn't do anything to the device just did some return travel from Long Island. It worked fine for several days of navigation and knew exactly where I was on the return trip, just didn't take me to the previously defined “Home” destination.

I recently purchased a DriveSmart 66 and downloaded my POIs with sound and icons but they are not showing up or announcing on the GPS. The POIs worked on my old GPS, a Nuvi 3597. Is there anything more I need to do to make this work. Thank you.
