I was wondering if Garmin City Navigator has maps for the entire world.

It looks like they are broken down as follows:

North America

Europe

Australia and New Zealand

South America

East and West Africa

Middle East and Northern Africa

Southern Africa

Garmin lists both a Suction Cup Mount 010-11932-01 and Suction Cup 010-10747-00. What are the differences between these two Garmin suction cup mounts?

I have two 2797 Nuvis. Both have the same map. One displays the speed limit, but the other doesn't. What's likely to be wrong?

For those interested (and adventurous), the eTrex Touch is currently on sale at Amazon for $360. That’s 20% (or $90) off the normal price of $449.99. The sale began yesterday, Jan 26. I have no idea how long this price will last so you may want to jump on it if you were interested in the unit.

I am wondering what experience people have had with the internal batteries on Garmin GPS units. I assume most are rechargeable Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) batteries. Will they eventually quit working completely or are are the Garmins designed in such a way that they will continue to work if they are connected to 12 volt power?

I finally got around to updating my DS61 and once complete I checked the unit for the version and found something odd.

I found everything updated to the new 2026.30 but I also have a 2nd copy of

CN North America NT 2026.2 & 2026.3 Parkopedia and Foursquare.

I don't recall having those two items for both the current and prior update before still on the unit.

I just installed the new v7.28 Garmin Express and got notification for updates to my 3597 & DS76.

The 3597 was Time Zone updates.

The DS76updates were for several language updates. Initially, also listed, there was an update for the Hands Free resetting to "On" when powered up, after being set to "Off", but it wasn't showing after I hooked up the DS76.

Updated Garmin Express v7.28.0.

As posted above, I am preparing to switch my Garmin Zumo XT to a cable with a USB-C port.

I am seeing some USB-C cables that are 20 AWG and others that are 22AWG. I assume I should match the cable size of the USB-C cable to that of the Garmin Motorcycle cable. If I reach out to Garmin and ask the wire size will they be able to tell me?

So I go to CES every year for the past 20 years and I always stop off at the Garmin booth. I must say the last 5 years have not been impressive in regards to auto navigators. Obviously smartphone navigation has taken the lead over PND's but I'm always hopeful there will be a new upgrade to the DS6x series. I had a 3497LMT for many years and then upgraded to the DS55.
