It started with my 265 randomly locking up and requiring a restart. Then it got so bad that the maps wouldn't load at all and hung at the loading maps screen.
I reloaded the maps and it was fine for about a day, then it just stopped showing any roads, it was as if the color for the roads turned white on the white background.
I tried reverting to factory defaults, tried night mode and reloading the maps, nothing worked.
Then I tried contacting Garmin and their support form would only cycle me back to the same page without submitting.
Finally I took it back to Costco, got a refund and purchased another 265WT. Hopefully it was just a hiccup in that unit. It had been working great for about a month before any of the troubles started.
