I went on a road trip with my new unit this morning. I find it works quite well, the only issue i found is the navigation voice is fairly quiet you have to listen closely to hear your direction prompt. There is a setting for the unit to make a chime, Before a voice prompt for a bit of an advance warning to listen up and to check the screen.

See http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/KNAG510_OwnersManual.pdf and make sure to read en31 through en33.It covers setting volume and also setting as speed increases.

Volume
Thanks for the answer,However i had already set the unit in those settings to 100% volume.
The voice prompt was still very low,I then turned on voice prompt to alert me before speech this helped me to listen more intently.
I went thru all the settings i could find for volume and i did find one for navigation voice it goes up to 35 and at this setting the voice is very loud and I had to turn it down to level 26. The voice there is loud enough to hear easily and I shut the prompt off as well.Unit works great now!
Thanks for this info here,
Thanks for this info here, I have a nuvi 885t and I am also having trouble hearing the voice. I called Garmin Tech support and all they said was you are right, the voice is quite a bit lower then some of the others and there was no way to change it higher then the volume control to 100% which is still very low. I will try looking for some other settings. Thanks again.
