Hi, just got my first GPS [Garmin c330]. This may be the wrong place to ask this, and if its wrong excuse me.

My question is I regerested my unit 3 days ago. They asked me for serial # and Registration code. I have a long Unlock code [25 numbers and letters] What is this and what do I unlock.

I have a Nuvi 350 and 360 and want to buy one map up-date.Is it possible to load one up-date on 2 GPS units?

How do the POI's work on the Nuvi 660? If I select a red light camera POI, it appears that it works by alerting me as I near the intersection in question. If I select, say a food POI list, it does not appear that any type of message appears as I approach known food locations. Are these two different types of POI lists that operate differently?

Anyone know how I can get rid of an mp3 sound file that I used for a POI, but then deleted? It shows up in the list of mp3 files but I can't find it anywhere on the Nuvi 350 drive. I have also deleted all of the POI's.

I have a nuvi350 and would like to update the maps. Just what is the process involved? What is the lock code? Do I need special software? Is it possible? As you can tell I've never done this and am just wondering about the process. Thanks from the new guy.

Having lived in my Chicago area suburb for over 20 years, I was shocked to hear "Turn left on CR-15W"... I've never heard of that road! It is not labeled anywhere on street signs or on local maps (except the Lake County Highway dept.). Traveling a mile or two up the road, it shows that I'm no longer on CR-15W... but Buffalo Grove Road! The road has been here for 15-20 years under that name.

Last night I updated my Nuvi with the 2008 NT update and as a part of the update it copied 1+ GB of *.img files onto my laptop. Are these temp files and hence can be removed to free up the space?

I updated my 680 to NT 2008. I received my DVD within a week after I called (thanks Gamin)!

The map update that will be coming to those of you who got "free" updates are schedule to ship on 8/24/07. Some have already recieved them, but no more will be shipped out "free" until AFTER this date. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I have my new c340 gps, external antenna with window mount, clear touch anti-glare, ac power cord, poi's (camera, attractions, checkpoints, radio, rest areas, speed, tolls and tourist loaded for the n.j, del and md areas). I also received my Mapsource dvd fron Garmin. I'm planning on going to Baltimore, MD and then Ocean City MD.

Today, I had an interesting problem. I upgraded my Nuvi 660 with the new system (touch screen issue) and the new NT 2008. I don't know if it is related to any upgrade but I tried out the FM transmitter for the first time today to hear songs through my radio. I turned it off as usual but when I started it up again, the touch screen would not work.

Yes I know I have been absent for a long time. I lost my best friend on 10 June 2007. That person was my Grandmother (better known as "Nana"). I as out of town for over a month with that then busy with work when I got back. Anyways I'll be back on at least a few times a week.

Just a heads up to anyone who recently purchased a C330. According to Garmin's tech support, the map udate 2008 is not free to those of us that recently purchased a C330. Only to those who purchased a C340 and up. Their excuse is that it is a "low end" unit, and also that the memory cannot hold the full US maps on the DVD.

I am curious about the City Navigator products on SD.

Since my nuvi 200 can only hold the 48 States section of the North America 2008 DVD I am wondering if I can put the Canada IMG file on an SD card and use it on my nuvi.

I am wondering if this would work similarly to when you insert a City Navigator SD card in a nuvi.

Is there a way to organize custom POI's on a nuvi 650?

I'd like to have it in separate categories to make searching a bit easier.

I have had my nuvi 350 for about 6 months. Yesterday after changing the the car on the display I shut it off. Later in the day when I turned it back on all the pre loaded (from the factory)

I just downloaded my first POI file (beer stores, go figure). It came in but just as a list of addresses. How do I "name them" as beer stores, and how do I associate an icon with an entire list?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Added .gpi file support for code pages other than 1252. This will resolve issues with bad characters in Eastern European and Asian languages.

i see that some people are able to connect their lg vx8300 to the nuvi 660.....my nuvi is saying "no device found" when i try to connect it the normal way... i have put my phone in discovery mode and it still doesnt work.... can someone please help me do this....any help would be greatly appreciated

I talked to a Garmin person a few weeks ago as I was having problems trying to upgrade my Nuvi 350, NT map from ver.7 to ver. 8.
