Having lived in my Chicago area suburb for over 20 years, I was shocked to hear "Turn left on CR-15W"... I've never heard of that road! It is not labeled anywhere on street signs or on local maps (except the Lake County Highway dept.). Traveling a mile or two up the road, it shows that I'm no longer on CR-15W... but Buffalo Grove Road! The road has been here for 15-20 years under that name.
I wonder why the county road number was used and not the common name.
NUVI 350, 2008 maps
Last week I updated my maps to 2008 and now when I’m traveling on a California freeway and approach my exit it now gives me the exit number instead of the street name. Not a big deal just different than the old maps.
Many roads especially highways in my area have 3 or 4 names/numbers and sometimes but not always my Magellan will say all of them when announcing a turn.
