Have anyone see this message before?

I remember back around last April we were all trying to get our Garmin 7x0 to power up in the Navigational mode instead of the Mass Storage mode using a non Garmin power supply. And also while it is connected to the PC.

Garmin support is working on this for me, but wondering if anyone else has noticed the same problem.

So I keep my 760 attached to its mount 95% of time, so it has constant power. The other day my wife used it, and she said it was working fine.

I just downloaded 2 csv files (red light & speed cameras). Now I uploaded them to the POI loader, then loaded them onto my nuvi760. There was no sd card installed so I asume they went strait into the unit. I looked at the unit while it was loading the file & did not see any indication of it loading.

Hey guys, i got a nuvi 200 a few years ago and i seen the newer garmins now have a cleaner and more detailed look. (ex. nuvi 205 which even posts the speed limit of the streets) I was wondering if i can update the software of something to get the newer look on the gps??? Or am i stuck with this old model and just have to upgrade to a newer one later??? Thanks

I downloaded the IHOP poi file today and I get an error while trying to put it on my Garmin Nuvi 760 using POI loader.

"There is a data format error on line 2577 of file IHOP.csv. The data earlier in the file will be written, but no more data can be read from this file."

Anyone else have this error? Anything I can do about it?

I use a Streetpilot c550. I have loaded POIs on the SD Card. I have also loaded my primary POIs into the unit itself. The SD card has many large files and I use it when traveling outside my normal haunts. My question: When you insert the SD Card for use as a POI source what happens to the files that are loaded in the unit's internal memory?

My 750 spends most of the time mounted in my car plugged into the cigarette lighter. It's turns on and off automatically with the car, as the cigarette lighter is switched with the ignition. My car spends some nights in the garage, and some nights outside in the cold.

Just open MapSource and go to help and then check for updates and it will be shown.

The following changes were made:

1. Fixed an issue using custom waypoint symbols installed in the current user directory.
2. Fixed an issue displaying the vertical profile for certain maps.
3. Fixed route issues for routes containing a waypoint more than once.

First post here, so a quick little intro I guess is in order.

I've been using a GPS for nearly 10 years now. First started with a Streetpilot (The original black and white one), moved up to a GPSmap 60C, and now have a nuvi 750.

Ok, so I've loaded a whole pile of custom POI's on my nuvi 760, And it worked while testing it on my way home for Tim Hortons. Now the question, do the alerts only work when you are following a route? Will they work if I just have the map up - will an alert sound as I approach a POI???

Ok, I've joined the ranks of using Garmin lock ... and a custom splash screen.

But as I selected my code, it just dawned on me ... there has been wide speculation about just how long it would take a thief to enter the "x" digit lock code combinations and permutations.

What is the best way to upload tourguide mp3 files on to a nuvi 7 series, how do attach a lat long to a mp3 file.

Looks like Garmin has discontinued more nuvi models, those being the 2x0w and the 7x0 units.

I am trying to upload a custom splash screen to a 7 series garmin nuvi. Have tried ximage upload and cannot find my device. Is it possibe to do? If it is what are the steps????

I just updated my Nuvi880 to 4.30 and since then when I display the map in "track up" mode I get a green terrain map. (Green due to elevation, I guess.) This makes it a little tougher to read the text on the map.

On my 265WT, I have observed that since the day I have loaded POI Files, my screen has become little sluggish.

When zoomed in to see the POI Icons, I am seeing a lot of lag in my route naviagation! If I zoomout, I cannot see the icons, but my route navigation improves drastically!

This question may or may not apply here but the other Zumo board I visit told me how to send route to my GPS and I know how to do that..

My question is which is better practice.
