Just tip how to control battery charging in Nuvi 750:

1. Switch to diagnostic mode by keep pressing the battery icon for about 8 sec
2. Connect USB charging cable from PC or wall outlet.
3. Observe charging process on a first diagnostic screen with % charging completed.

PS. The advantages of this mode:

I want to change the default beep sound that is on the menu screen (not in the map).

Can this be done or is it hard coded into the Nuvi 205W?

I know where the sounds are for the English_American and i have gone through it but cannot find one that sounds like the one i want to change.

I have a 260 and downloaded the rest areas combined into it last week in Biloxi, MS. While traveling to central Illinois on I55 the program didn't work as I had anticipated. It beeped twice at 3000 ft from the rest area as I had programmed. However, it past lots of rest areas and didn't make a sound. Am I doint something wrong? Why did it work twice and fail to work many more?

I am new here and am trying to load poi's to my garmin nuvi. I have no idea how to do it. I am using Garmin's POI loader, but when I search for the files downloaded to my computer I can't find them and when I search the computer and find them and then try to go to the same place to upload them they aren't there.

Question for anyone. Is it possible to replace the Garmin default, rather ugly, tour guide icon ? I would prefer having my preselected POI icons appear when I enter a tour guide zone. The POI icons do appear as expected in their designated locations.

Hey there folks I just got my Nuvi 760 & d/led the app for the red light cameras.Works great. My wife has a Garmin 255 (about 1-2 years old) & I was wondering if I can put tha red light app on the 255? Thanx

Hello all!! Extreme newbie here. Have had my nuvi 200 for less than a month and am thrilled with all I am able to do with it so far. But I need some help adding a new vehicle and voice. I have downloaded them directly to the device, and also to my PC poi files and then loaded them from that location.

I have about 300 or so songs on my SD card and I have the shuffle and repeat set on the Nuvi player. At times I have had the same song played several times within minutes of each other. I have checked for duplicate files...I guess the player does not eliminate the file from its shuffle once it plays?

anyone have a guess?

I have been looking at the csv files (POIs) to be downloaded for Garmin. It seems to me that the content of the individual wps only is a row with comma separated data in an Excel file and saved as a csv file. Or are there anything more "special" about the Garmin csv format?

Ever since I updated to 3.30 I had noticed that about every 3rd time I put my 765t in the cradle the voice was the non TTS "American English". I would go to settings to change the voice back to "Jack" and all TTS voices were missing but after turning off the unit and turning it back on only Jack & Jill had returned. I looked at the files on the GPSr and all the voices are there.

Hey everyone i do believe that the traffic (NAVTEQ) is up and running in the Toronto Area again , I was out this evening before &pm and the icon was up on my 265wt hooray

I'm new at this GPS thing and I need some help. I have a nuvi 260 and I downloaded the rest area POI's. I'd like to set the alerts for the rest areas but I can't seem to find how to activate this feature. The nuvi 260 user manual seems to indicate that this feature is available...can't seem to get it to work.

After installing the combined RestArea POI file (RestAreasCombined) my new Nuvi 755 reboots once or twice a day. Any ideas?

Is there anyway to hook up the zumo 550 so that it can be heard through my bikes speakers and or intercom system? I have a 2008 H-D ultra classic electra glide.
