Garmin has released 3.30 firmware for the Nuvi 755.

There are a bunch of corrections in this update. I already installed, and will advise if I see any problems.

Does anyone know of SD cards that are made by independents that contain mapping information that supplement the SD cards made by Garmin??

I've been upgrading SW versions to 4.50 and having bluetooth work successfully with my Samsung u430. I upgraded to SW version 4.70 and am now having an issue where even though the units are bluetoothed I cannot answer a call on the Nuvi. The screen that used to appear saying "incoming call answer/ignore?" doesn't appear. Neither does the Nuvi 'ring'.

I am thinking of selling my Nuvi 255W to upgrade to a Nuvi 765T. I paid $220.00 from Amazom last Oct. I also bought a Garmin AC Charger for $17.00. I do know that the price has come down. I want to be fair in selling it. I have found many 350,200, and 260's for sale, but not any of the XX5 series. How much do you think that I should ask for it.

Several months ago I purchased a 765t and used it without any custom POI’s installed. This past weekend I decided to install the custom POI’s from my older 750 into the new unit. The problem I have now is that the icons are all showing up in a light blue and not the original colors. Some of these bmp’s I made and some were downloaded.

Question for any one regarding a Nuvi 750. Because the FM output is not always ideal, I connect my music output via the external jack to a separate FM modulator and in doing so the normal navigation voice/tones are disabled. Is there a way to have retain voice and or tones ??

I'm going to France, Swisse, Germany. I noticed if I try to use coordonates to find an address in France it doesn't work whichever format I choose. I need to find the address using information (ex. a picture of their map) from the hostel, hotel or B&B owner. Does somebody knows how can I make work the POIs (like McDonalds, etc) ?

I have the rest area poi in my Garmin 650 and it works great but I would like to change the distance that it tells you that the rest stop is ahead.
Do I have to reload the file and do a manual setup?

Is there a way to backup the existing maps on Garmin nuvi 200?

Where are the maps are been stored defualt?

You need to request a map update now.
I ask them for an update and because I am two weeks alter in asking they said no way.
Apparently when you acquire satellites for first time you also send a signal to Garmin.
So they know actually when it was first used.

what options would you want on it and why?

i have downloaded several poi files from the site to a folder run by microsoft excel.my question is can i add personal ones i have come across to the list by adding the coords next inline?and then send them to the site,or do i need to send them to the site first ,then download,hope this makes sense.

The previous owner had some tunes on it I am trying to get rid of. They are NOT on the SD card because they play when the card is out. I tried using Windows Search for *.mp3s on the Garmin and still nothing comes up. But I know they are in there. How do I find them and remove them?

Also, how do I remove all his POIs and map routes?

Bought the 760 about 3 weeks ago, but now I can get a 780 for the same price.... Is it worth returning the 760 for the 780?

ok, i have a question, i have the 765T, i have noticed that some of my poi icons are odd, color, i know i have to change them over to 256 color, but, i have a ton of them, so is there a fast easy way to do this? or can i just have the csv files with out the icons?! and how would the unit react to no icon( would it place a dot)

thanks in advance for any help/insight you can give on this question. I have a nuvi 350 and am a commercial truck driver. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any maps for the nuvi that would work to keep me off of roads and bridges that I shouldn't be on? I have heard of other GPS brands that offer these units, but they are not a known company.

As I was driving near Springfield, Illinois... My Garmin told me I was doing 43 miles per hour for a few miles when I was clearly doing 74. I set the cruise control based upon the GPS 71 MPH. (GPS 71mph = Speedo 74 on this trip, in this car).

Can anyone recommend a screen protector for a 4.3 Garmin. I have heard that the Invisishield from Zagg is very good, but I do not know if it can be easily removed. Some of the others appear to be difficult to apply to the screen without leaving air bubbles. I want to protect the lcd screen from scratches without loosing clarity. I would appreciate any recommendations

I had seen on a previous post sofware for chaging what the garmin says like "recaculating" to something different and correcting other speech problems but I cannot seem to locate that post again, could someone please send me a link to it?
