Hi: I have 192 custom POI's loaded to my Garmin
Nuvi. They were created as a large GPX file with MAPSOURCE, and uploaded with POI LOADER. They are all present in the CUSTOM POI box within the EXTRAS area. The problem is that the waypoints have NO "GO-TO" Button to allow navigation to the POI. Any ideas? THANKS A LOT. I'm a POI Factory newbie. RMWAC

Hi All my nuvi 1300 takes about a min to get the birds. I thought I read that it is only supposed to take about a couple of seconds. Everything else seems to work properly. Im not sure what do do, if anything. Thoughts?

I was looking through what's included in the box (just bought one) and it doesn't seem to have any software. My Quest 2 used the Map Source app from Garmin to load things onto it however I've sold that and no longer have the software installed.

I have a Nuvi 1300. I bought the GTM 25 traffic receiver.

I didn't think this one was ad supported, but it is. I have ads for Best Buy, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and others.

I have downloaded Flying J and KOA campgrounds. I go through the whole process, my computer says they have successfully loaded to my nuvi 1450 BUT I can not find them. Any idea were they are?? THX

How do you download Trip Logs to MapSourse or another map program like Google Earth?

HI: My first post. I am a sailplane pilot, and I am attempting to create a database of all the airports our club might land at. We currently have 192 airports in our database. I have a NUVI 1450 and created a CUSTOM POI .gpx file containing these 192 Airports. Works fabulously.... but only for the 50 CLOSEST airports.

I own a Nuvi 775T, 1260T and 660 and have Garmin lifetime city Navigator map updates on each. When a new map update comes out, I have generally downloaded the EXE file from MyGarmin and then launch that file to build the map image on the PC and transfer to my 775T unit first.

Any one know how to delete unwanted maps in 755T. Recently upgraded to 2011 and find I have Mexico. The chances at my age of ever seeing let alone using a GPS in that country is very, very slim. I would like to get rid of the Mexican map portion and free up some space. If that's possible?

I have two maps in my nuvi 855, the garmin North American map and the OSM UK map. Both are stored in the main memory. Since I was playing with the UK map I had turned the NA map off. However, I left the unit in navigation mode, with the "show track" option turned on.

Is there a way to turn the screen off on a Nuvi without turning the whole device off?

A lot of times, specially if going long distance, it's a long ways before the next turn - and at night, the backlit screen is quite a distraction. It'd be nice to turn the screen off while the navigation going, and have the screen come on automatically when the next turn is approaching.

What is the latest map update for the 885T ?

Hi all, I have searched and the answer has eluded me. About 2 years ago I bought an aftermarket USB car charger for my Nuvi 680 to use when it was mounted on my motorcycle and I can't find the place I bought it from. I was hoping someone on the forums might have the answer.

I have been very busy creating a POI file for the Baymont Inns & Suites across the country. I've used their web site to find the location of the motels and then used GoogleEarth to determine the GPS coordinates.

Has anybody had any experience using the Nuvi 1370T. I have done a search on the site but cannot find any reference to the unit. I particularly like the idea of the unit because it has both North American and European map sets. I was wondering if both sets of maps would be updated or does it rely on the location where the unit was originally registered in.

Has anyone else noticed with the new map update, that upcoming streets are now displayed on the map itself (not the green bar)?

After driving around yesterday and today, I've found it is showing up to 4 streets ahead. I thought it was very cool that they've 'fixed' that little problem.

When I am driving, my Nuvi 660 frequently loses its power intermittently. I had the unit itself and the power supply replaced back when it was still under warranty, but the issue was never fixed. I suppose that leaves the cradle to be replaced?

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Anyone ever loose sound out of internal speaker? My FM works but no internal. I took it apart (don't go "OH NO) it is easy, I had this problem before I change the battery, but thought I would repair two items at once. All the connections were good.
Any ideas?

Can anyone recommend an external power supply I can use at home while listening to the mp3 player ??? I would prefer not to use the car mount adapter. Is it possible to power it via the usb port so as to maintain operation? Also, I want to avoid connecting to my computer.
