I did not get a answer before and thats why I asked again. Plus when I hook my 885 up to the pc and do try and update it says I already have it all but when I go to map info it says I have 2010.10
The new City Navigator 2011.10 has been out for nearly a week for all Garmin users, EXCEPT those with nuvi 8x0 and 8x5 models. Since your 855T is a 8x5, the expected date for a map upgrade to 2011.10 is around May 6. Until then, map 2010.40 is the "current" map for you even though all non-8xx users have a newer map than you (and I) do. See below for emails from Garmin dated Apr 23. Garmin's Tech Support sent me a couple other emails yesterday, too, reinforcing the early May date for a map update for us. [Strangely, two 8xx users here at POI Factory have been able to update their nuvis to 2011.10 - no one has offered an explanation for this.]

I wonder what having the Mexico maps has to do with it ?
Perhaps it's the "ASR"/Voice recognition files that are causing a problem in relation to Mexico.
Maybe you have to speak Spanish for it to understand you ?????
I'll tell you... having the 885t and doing updates has always been kinda problematic for me. Sometimes the voices didn't work, sometimes the voice recognition didn't work... so I think the problems do center around the VR files.
My 265WT and 265T updated without a hitch. The two 275Ts looked normal throughout the update - just remained at the old version after updating. I sent an email to Garmin support to add the 275T to the list after reading about similar problems with the 885T.

THEY ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH THE 885 AND THE MAP UPDATE PROCESS WHICH HAS BEEN NOTED BEFORE!!

Add 275Ts to the list of not updating
My 265WT and 265T updated without a hitch. The two 275Ts looked normal throughout the update - just remained at the old version after updating. I sent an email to Garmin support to add the 275T to the list after reading about similar problems with the 885T.
