Nuvi 1370T

Has anybody had any experience using the Nuvi 1370T. I have done a search on the site but cannot find any reference to the unit. I particularly like the idea of the unit because it has both North American and European map sets. I was wondering if both sets of maps would be updated or does it rely on the location where the unit was originally registered in.

Only one...

Just one map would be updated, not both. I believe it does depend on where the unit was purchased, or was registered. You may need to call Garmin to verify that, though.

There is a NuMaps Lifetime for 1370T

nuMaps for the x7x and xx7x is available, but it costs more, since it updates both maps.

Cheaper option

Looks like it would be cheaper just to buy a unit in the UK and leave it with friends when the vacation is over.

Bought it one week ago

Greetings from Sweden !¨
I bought it one week ago and are very happy with it.
About the maps: You are entitled to just ONE update of One map ! I choose the to update the european map.
One day later I phoned the Swedish Garmin support and asked why i couldnt update the American map and was told about this "just one mapupdate thing" The day after I emailed the american support and complained that I could not update the american map(I did NOT tell them that I allready had updated the european map.) Here is their answer: "A Onetime free map update has been added to your myGarmin account. You will now be able to update your North American maps." I guess this was kind of criminal done by me, but it saved me 70 dollar:-) and i guess this is possible to do only with transatlantic companys that dont know what the are doing on the other side of the pond.

Kind regards / Peter
