how do i update my gps with current red light camera locations

Does anyone know when the Map Source Beta will be released as a final version, or update?

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 205 and ordered a map update (nüMaps Onetime City Navigator North America NT 2010). The email states the disk will not be here for 4-6 weeks. I was thinking that since the Nuvi 205 maps are already 2010.1 that I might just put the update onto my Garmin StreetPilot 2730, which has older maps.

Hi. Tried to search the forum for this but kept ending up back at the main search uh, place.
Question:
Is it possible to re-download Mapsource from Garmin? I cleverly deleted it and the icon while chasing down another problem (Norton. Deleted that and went to Vipre, problem solved) and now can't figure out how to get it back.

Does anyone know if the Nuvi 765T is being discontinued? On the Garmin site it still shows but when you choose the wide screen filter block on the left side it does show up there. There have been many problems with this unit and I am wondering if Garmin is finally admitting it by discontinuing the model.

I downloaded different sounds for alerts to go with the red light cams and speed cams POIs -- but i can't get them to work.

I'm going back packing for 16 days and I have plotted my route using between 120 and 150 waypoints for each day. Each day is held in a separate .gpx file but how an I use these on my Oregon 300 without reconnecting to a computer during the trip?

Trying to download Red Light POI and install it on my 265WT. I was able to download the file (using Windows Vista) but POI loader (and I can't find where to have POI loader retrieve the file from). Any suggestions (other than get rid of Vista LOL.)

I have a Nuvi 765T that I have downloaded some POI files for and also the appropriate icons. As far as I can tell the files have the exact same name except for the extension types. I still can't see an icon for any of the POI's. I want to be able to zoom out and have any of the POI's of a specific type display. Is this possible? What am I doing wrong?

In case anyone is looking, onsale.com is selling refurb 765t for $134.99 after mail in rebate. And Garmin gives you the same warranty and one-time map update as a new unit.

I think I'm not understanding the ad in the Office Depot sales paper of 4/11/2010.

For the Garmin 1350T unit we just purchased (yes I am a total n00b) it says, "Smart Upgrade - For only $30 more get FREE lifetime traffic updates."

(first of all what is "free" about paying $30?)

I received the latest reply to Garmin's attempt to fix my traffic problem with the 765T using v. 390.

"At the moment engineering has been looking into this issue. We have not been quoted a timeframe in which to expect a fix for this issue, but it is something they are trying to diagnose and resolve.

Once a fix is in place, I will be sure to let you know."

i know these are not the same lat/long.but i wrote two seprete files using each of these formats.first one decimal degrees,second one degrees min.sec.both ways loaded in the gps fine so why convert anything.im still a bit lost

When I loaded POI's into SD card of the Nuvi 660, everything went smoothly.But when I opened the Extra folder in Nuvi 660, I got the message: No Extra POI is loaded . Check with Windows Explorer, I did see all POIs loaded into the SD card.
Reloaded POIs into Garmin, everything was OK when opening the Extra folder.
Maybe Garmin 660 not allows POIs loaded into SD card?

Can I use Wave format for Alert Sounds for Garmin 660 instead of MP3 ?

OK, I've downloaded, say, the Costco locations POI and it's on my Garmin 755t. Now, how do I use it. If I want to see if there is a Costco nearby when I'm 3 states away from home, exactly what do I do. (Told you I was a newbie!)

I am having trouble with my 885T. When I get a icon on the screen 5min back up ahead on the left side I click on it and it should tell me where its at. The map comes up and shows me but at the top of the screen you can just about make out what it says. its grayed out. Click on link to see what i'm talking about. I sent it back to garmin and they sent me another, now this one as well is doing it but not all the time.
