Garmin talk

Today, I got email from Garmin informing me that Nuvicam software version 3.30 has fixed the iphone 6 Bluetooth connectivity issues. When I powered on my Nuvicam, I saw the message for software update. This was regarding my ticket opened with them for a year.

Updated the software but they fixed bluetooth issue in the previous release 3.20. So not sure what they did in this update?

Anyone have the link?

Anyone know when the new Garmin map updates come out for the Garmin USA / North America iPhone app? It's still showing 2016.10 maps when 2017.20 maps are out for the Garmin GPS units. Seems to me they would release an update more frequently especially to compete with other apps like Waze, Google, MapQuest, etc.

Can you download a Route from Google Map to a GPS>

I've had my Garmin Nuvi 2689 for nearly a year now. I normally use it as a rolling map at work while I drive, no set route, it's just on.

I have programmed it to find places, mostly an intersection somewhere many times.

Recently I had a route programmed in and saw an odd (to me) junction view along the route.

I recently had to upgrade my PC to Windows 10. Initially, my Nuvi drive and SD card showed up and Garmin Express recoginzed the device. However, today, the device/drives are not recognized.

Any comments/suggestions out there in Garminville?

Recently, we had some discussion about Alternative Mount Ideas. Coincidentally, my wife was riding in my car with me recently and she complained about not being able to adjust the air vent because I was using Garmin Air Vent Mount to hold my Garmin Nuvi 3597.

This weekend my 2599 exhibited a strange behavior.

Rather than showing my vehicle traveling a street, it depicted the vehicle as floating to the right (about 40')of the road as tho it was flying.

After a off/on cycle, it behaved normally.

Just wondering how prevalent this is?

When GE is running in the back ground, will it make my computer run slow?

Latest version of POI Loader has decided it doesn't like my audio files (neither MP3 nor WAV versions). All the audio files came from here on POI Factory.

Thoughts?

For some reason my MapSource right now is slower than Molasses.
I tried to open some GPX files I have on my Desktop but I cannot find any way to load them into BaseCamp.

It's probably so easy but I can't see it.

I have several img files which I want to put on a SD card (32GB) to use in my Oregon 600 Garmin device.

Why is it that when I hook up my DriveSmart 60 to Web updated that is states no updates available. When I use GE it shows and update. So, should I disregard Webupdater and start using GE?

I recently had a melt down on my PC (Windows 7) and now have Windows 10 installed.

Would anyone out there have a copy of the Mapsource install file that I could get?

Still prefer it to BaseCamp.

Does anyone know if a planned trip in the Garmin 2589LMT using the "Apps" Trip Planner can be backed up so it can be transferred to another Garmin 2589LMT? If so how is it done?
