Here's the question. You have a new nuvi that has come with lifetime HD traffic, but you also have a smartphone and your nuvi can connect with the smartphone via Bluetooth with the Garmin Smartphone app. The question is: after adding the free Garmin app to your smartphone and linking it to your nuvi for basic weather, should you pay the one-time $20 fee to access LiveTraffic?
I have had a Garmin Nuvi 360, that I bought used, that has the ability to make Bluetooth connected telephone calls. I have never even tried that feature. A big part of that is because a friend of mine is a big Bluetooth advocate and his calls generally sounded awful through Bluetooth.
i was real surprised that a fairly expensive GPS does not have TTL . it will only tel you "turn right in 1/2 mile" etc, but no street names
just an observation
i am trying to find the website that had all previous software versions available for download. Anyone have the link to the site ?
can you prevent these warnings from coming up every time ?
i get these:
end user license agreements (traffic cable not installed in the car yet - once installed maybe it will not come up again after agreeing )

Thank you and Happy New Year.
I connected my Garmin Nuvi 3597 to my computer and tried to use MapSource, but I had no luck. The cable is good because I was able to use Garmin Express. I recall reading something about Garmin MapSource in the past. Is the Garmin 3597 not compatible with MapSource? Do I have to use Garmin BaseCamp now?

I recently received a 2597 to replace my 855. On the 855 I could to to /settings/My Data/Import Route(s) From A File to import a route I had uploaded from MapSource. I can't seem to locate a similiar function on the 2597. Any suggestions?
I was thinking today about the various connected features we have today and what we had in the past. So, since Garmin XT was something I used on a phone several years ago, I decided to take a look at http://www8.garmin.com/buzz/mobilext/ We had Garmin OnLine, fuel prices, flight status, weather, traffic, etc.
Since getting my new Garmin Nuvi 3597 recently, I have been brain storming to make sure that I do everything I need to do to get it up to date. So far, here is a laundry list of things I have done, or will do, after getting a new Garmin:
-Update to current firmware
-Update to latest maps
-Delete non English voices
-Delete non English keyboards
I just downloaded the latest redlight camera file and noticed that the 4 Oldsmar fl cameras are missing or maybe I'm not seeing them?
They were there a couple weeks ago.
I would like to configure my Garmin Nuvi 3597 so that it does not auto zoom. I just want it to stay at whatever setting I select. Does anybody know if this is possible?
I know that on some Garmins it was an option if I selected the UK or some other non-United States country. Could this still be possible?
I am looking for a protective case for my Garmin Nuvi 3597. I know that there are lots of cases available, but I am specifically looking for the type that is similar to a cell phone protective case that would allow it to be used when navigating on foot, I seem to recall seeing one somehwere recently, but I can't for the life of me seem to find it on line right now.
Factory Outlet Store.com is offering many Garmin Nuvi models at 25 - 75% off for 48 hours only.
