I paired my Nokia N95 yesterday and made few phone calls using my Nuvi 765T Bluetooth capabilities. I found out that phone volume is very low when you use blutooth. I use FM transmitter to play audio on my car speakers. But I was disappointed that phone volume was too low. I could not find anyplace to increase it. In mixer you have only two options, 1. Navigation audio 2. Media.

Have you ever got caught in a jam without your GPS?
Was on my way to work yesterday, left GPS home, major traffic jam do to accident, could of found different rout if only I had my GPS. Bad day!

I created a route on Mapquest and sent it to my Nuvi 750, then created a route from the .gpx file in My Data. The Nuvi recalculated that route.

Reading the forums, I found that no matter what route you choose by dragging on the Mapquest screen, the Nuvi recalculates it. The suggested alternative was to send waypoints, which I did.

I have a Garmin 265 and I downloaded the Google Earth #5. I can download my waypoints and routes to the computer. The waypoints show up on Google Earth as blue flags and they are all listed in the directory. However, the ROUTES do not show up. I've heard that the routes are seen as a different color on the highways traveled. How do I get the routes to show up? Thanks

Is it just me ... or has Garmin blog lost its focus?

Long ago I subscribed to the Garmin blog from the Garmin website to be emailed each new Garmin blog ... to keep up with Garmin GPS news ... You know, new products, services, vehicles, etc.

But lately, it seems like every Garmin Blog post is about Team Garmin racing bicycles.

When i set speed alert ( with its proximity distance ) in a gpx or csv file, will it alert me if i am not exceeding the allowed speed ?. if yes , then it will be annoying and useless alert.

GPS was fine this AM, on to work, powered off when I turned my car off at work. This afternoon -- NADA. Replugged cord in (green light glows so it's getting power), tried plugging in to computer w/USB cord -- NADA. Switched off/on about a dozen times --- NADA. Tried on battery only -- NADA.

If anyone is looking for the Garmin beanbag, try your local Circuit City. I was just there and they had them at 50% off (so, $20). Great deal if you are looking for one.

Does any one know how to get rid of the "lawyer screen" ,that is,the opening warning that appears when I power up a nuvi 750 ??

I'm considering a traffic receiver and this might be a dumb question. When you buy a MSN receiver with 1 year free, can you sit on activating it for awhile, or does your purchase date have anything to do with it?
If I find a good deal on one and wanted to wait a few weeks or even months to activate it, will it be a problem?

I have added the Redlight-Cameras.mp3 file to my folder, but still get the bong sound on a recent trip to Atlanta. Proximity Alerts is set to Continuous - All Alerts. Not single tone or continuous - speed alerts. What am I doing wrong? File names in the folder all match and POI Loader installed everything, but no Jill saying Redlight Camera Ahead.??

I feel i am lost when i read about how to do calculations for proximity distance in a speed alert.
where do i live, i can drive 140 km/h on the highway, BUT the radar can catch me if i was overspeeding from a distance of 500 m. how & what shall i do.

I cannot get the program to download to my garmin

I recently purchased this unit. The first day I had it the voice prompts were fine. Yesterday the voice stopped anouncing. I re-connected the unit to a laptop and downloaded the most recent software. I'm used to a c340. I've used it for years. I am quite familiar how the GPS units work. The problem seems to be this unit (265WT) intermittant audio. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I see that Amazon is offering the Nuvi 760 as today's Deal of the Day for $199. Doesn't seem like too bad a price if you're looking for this model.

So there is a route log in my Nuvi 250W but as far as I can see it just draws a route where you have been. What else is it good for? Can you export it to Mapsource and save it? Can it log the mileage? I know there isn't anything in the Nuvi manual but there isn't much in the manual. Any undocumented features?

One of the main reasons I upgraded to a nuvi 760 was Bluetooth compatibility with my Verizon LG VX8325 cell phone. I had assumed that all phones with Bluetooth would work with the nuvi. It turns out that my phone is not compatible.

I find interesting some of the languages on my 765. What is Letzebeurgesch? For that matter what is Cesky, Eesti,or Srpski? And why is Slovencina in there twice?

Any comments?
