I was wondering if any of you know some other places to get GPS Voices...
I have gone to Pigtones I was just if there was any other ones out there.

Does Garmin or anyone publish a list of firmware changes?

It has been a couple of months since I last checked for updates for a Nuvi 2699 and it showed a firmware version of 8.3. After checking earlier today using Garmin Express, the most current version is 8.5. I was able to apply the update using Garmin Express without issue.

Today Garmin Express offered an update for my 3597LMTHD. It turned out to be a traffic update. The file downloaded was \.system\TrafficProviders.xml. This update may have been available for a while as I haven't checked for updates since the 2017.20 map came out.

GE is showing updates to 2017.20 for all (not Montana) my GPS units.

I've had this 2595 for a couple of years now and this past week it became unusable. It turns on and appears to function, but if I select an address and try to start a route it bogs down and becomes very unresponsive. After hitting the Go button, it takes a while (maybe a minute) to switch to the map view. Then once there, the calculation will very slowly increment but never seems to finish.

My trusty 1490LMT has finally given up on me after 6 years of loyal services.

I will buy a new Garmin GPS (58LMT) and I'm wondering if it's possible to transfer all of my favorites from the old GPS to the new one.

With the launch of HD radio stations in Canada early this year we may expect the lunch of HD traffic in Canada as well. I use Smartlink app for traffic which works great but still will be interesting to see HD traffic. I tried to test HD but it will stick to smartlink app only with the message "you need charging cable with a receiver". I am using Garmin charging cable with HD receiver.

Soon will be time for the 2017.30 update.

I have tried to load the pilot / Flying J POI and all that comes through is the listings but it will not open when I press the go to button. For some reason it is telling me, when I download, that the file is corrupt. I had this working a while ago, added some other POI's and now it does not continue to let me "go" to any of them. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I was ask to report on the 60LMTHD. It is great GPS. What I liked about it that when driving through Houston, Samantha gave great direction. She let me know when to change lane and which lane for me to get in. I also like how you can change the dashboard to what you like. When I came to a red light, she told me which way to turn and what lane I needed to be in to make my turn.

My Nuvi 885T which I bought in 2009 was stolen out of my truck the other day. Wife used the truck and forgot to turn the alarm on She doesn't normally use it and was in a rush to get out of the AZ heat that afternoon. The unit was never mounted when I wasn't driving, stored in a case a slot in the drivers door out of site, but having the truck unlocked was a bit too tempting I guess.

I just bought a NUVI 680 NA off ebay with City Navigator north America 2010.40 in it.

I was thinking of buying the newer City Navigator North America 2017.20 for it but from what I've been reading through some google searches it sounds like the 680 won't hold the entire map because it only has a 2 gig limit and that map is something like 2.7 gig.

We are planning a long trip, so I was updating my Nuvi 650. In doing so, I ran across BaseCamp (which I never seemed to get around to using). So I took-up experimenting developing the route with BaseCamp.

It dawned on me that BaseCamp may possibly generate a better route than the one developed on an external device such as the Nuvi650. Any thoughts on this?

Up until recently, I used by blue tooth in my car to handle all the hands free stuff, but decided to change to my Garmin 2595 due to the ability to get up to the minute traffic and weather when linked to my cellphone through the Garmin app.

I have noticed that the Garmin DriveSmart series (I have the 70LMT) volume is not as loud as the Garmin Nuvi 2798LMT model was. Anyone else agree that the DriveSmart volume is not as loud as the Nuvi line? When driving with road noise I have difficulty hearing the instructions as well as I used to particularly considering it's a $400 GPS.

This just popped up on the Nuvi 765T when I press "Where To" and then press address or points of interest, the new update map is on a sd card. Any thoughts or fixes for this or its time to bury the unit.

Hi all, I recently formatted my Garmin on my laptop thinking it would help with the update bricking the systemand can't find a way to get the software back onto the system. I've searched extensively but I have no backup as I just inherited the device from my dad and he hasn't used it since 2007. Is there any resource to get the software files so I can copy and paste them into the device?

Yesterday was the second time that this happened. I had a route to destination set up and was following it.
