Not directly.

Google does not support the GPX format for export, so you can't go directly from Google maps to Garmin route. There are some third party utilities that will do it, plus, you can use Garmin's BaseCamp to convert the route and get it to a nuvi.

I tried using Base Camp several times, it is too confusing for me. I like a simple way to do things. What I have done was do the route in Google and than manually input it in the GPS.

There

There are a couple programs that I use that will allow you to easily create a route on your computer and download them to your GPS where they become Trips:

One is a computer program names TyreToTravel (Tyre) which is pretty simple to use and creates a route much like you would do it in Google. In fact, Tyre uses Google Maps. Attach your Nuvi to the computer, create the route in Tyre and use the Garmin - Copy to Garmin menu selection which will send the route to your GPS. Detach the GPS from the computer and you'll find the Tyre created route in your Trip Planner.

You can download Tyre from http://www.tyretotravel.com/

The other facility I use is a website called Furkot (Furkot.com). Also using Google Maps you create your route on the website and then using the Export facility you can download the route as a GPX file and install it on your Nuvi.
