Recently, we had some discussion about Alternative Mount Ideas. Coincidentally, my wife was riding in my car with me recently and she complained about not being able to adjust the air vent because I was using Garmin Air Vent Mount to hold my Garmin Nuvi 3597. I remembered the discussion here and I have been toying with the idea of getting the Mountek nGroove 6000g CD Slot Mount for Garmin nuvi and StreetPilot GPS. I hate "buyers remorse" and I also hate paying for shipping, if I can get it for free. I just happened to notice on the Mountek website:

Ordered from Amazon but we are Prime members so it was free shipping also.
Something to note about the Mountek Blade nG6000g is the so called 17mm ball that my nuvi's powered mount attaches to is ever so slightly undersized. So when I press a bit too hard on the nuvi's screen, it moves. It's distracting while moving along the road. A small piece of masking tape on the ball fixed it though.
The Mountek replaced the Garmin bean-bag mount that (now) slides all over the dashboard! It fits right into the CD slot and snugs up real good, can't see the radio's clock but the Garmin has one.

The NGroove 6000g CD Slot Mount was waiting for me when I returned home from work yesterday afternoon. I installed it this morning in my Honda Accord and I must say that I like it a lot. Now, when my wife rides with me she will be able to adjust the vents to here liking now.
