I cannot get the program to download to my garmin

I recently purchased this unit. The first day I had it the voice prompts were fine. Yesterday the voice stopped anouncing. I re-connected the unit to a laptop and downloaded the most recent software. I'm used to a c340. I've used it for years. I am quite familiar how the GPS units work. The problem seems to be this unit (265WT) intermittant audio. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I see that Amazon is offering the Nuvi 760 as today's Deal of the Day for $199. Doesn't seem like too bad a price if you're looking for this model.

So there is a route log in my Nuvi 250W but as far as I can see it just draws a route where you have been. What else is it good for? Can you export it to Mapsource and save it? Can it log the mileage? I know there isn't anything in the Nuvi manual but there isn't much in the manual. Any undocumented features?

One of the main reasons I upgraded to a nuvi 760 was Bluetooth compatibility with my Verizon LG VX8325 cell phone. I had assumed that all phones with Bluetooth would work with the nuvi. It turns out that my phone is not compatible.

I find interesting some of the languages on my 765. What is Letzebeurgesch? For that matter what is Cesky, Eesti,or Srpski? And why is Slovencina in there twice?

Any comments?

I recently purchased a Nuvi 360 and would like to get some decent earbuds to use with the MP3 player. Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent set (but under $50) and is there a listing of incompatible types available? Thanks!!

Is there a quick way of finding out how much memory I have on my 660 and 680 for poi's that i don't want to put on a SD card

I just downloaded the new Google Earth #5 and it looks real neat. You can transfer GPS routes to it from Garmin. I had the Google Earth Plus and it has been discontinued because the new Version 5 does more and it free.

Is there a way to see a list of all firmware update versions for a Nuvi 205w? I tried searching on Garmin's site but can't find it listed on this page: http://www8.garmin.com/support/blosp.jsp

Also, I don't necessarily want to connect the device and check it via WebUpdater. I'd just like to see the versions available, and what changed in each version. Thanks!

Couple of days ago my 765 behaved in a very strange way. Sorry, I did not get time to share it with you guys. I went to a mall around 1:30 PM EST for 10 minutes. When I came back in my car and started it. My 765 started as well but in night mode showing time 8 PM. And then I saw warning on the screen that my maps are more than a year old..should get new maps..

A new bug has been discovered in nuvi 7x5 series v3.10 using the new 2009.11 maps. If you use map panning mode and zoom in to the screen and place the pointer on either a street or a POI (at least those built into the mapset), the name of the POI or the street is no longer being displayed.

v2.50 or v3.00 do *not* have this problem.

I have a nuvi 200w, and I recently logged on to the Garmin web site and saw that I had an update that was available. It was a map update for 2009, so I downloaded it (which took about 7 hour from start to finish).

Does anyone have the same peculiar problems with 265WT as I had when connected to car charger?

1) 265WT rebooted several times when in congested traffic- seemed unable to reroute. I finally manually reroute and it hadn't rebooted since..
2) The rerouting/recalculating takes dramatically longer than when it is on battery.

I have been enjoying this website learning as a newbie, I am stuck howevere, I have been adding POIs to my NUVI 760, but for some reason it will only let me add 3 seperate POIs ,is that all you can put in? or am I doing something wrong.

I can only get 2 hours out of my new 755t. I have it connected to my car charger for the FM traffic and thought that would keep the GPS battery charged. What do I do on a 7 hour trip if the battery is only good for 2 hours?

Is the FM traffic option available in Canada? I currently have a 760 NUVI.

was curious if it a good product?

When the 3D pointer indicates when to turn ,what is the part of the arrow to go by. The tip ,center,or tail?It would help to know for turns in a very tight spot or multiple exits very close together.

Was curious if anyone else had this problem since this is my third device and the problem continues.

I have a 265wt (Nuvi) after several days of being paired with my iPhone it starts shutting off, then coming back on. If I disconnect my bluetooth feature from talking with my iPhone then the GPS unit stays on.
