Speed Limit display on Nuvi 205w

Hi,

On your Nuvi 205w widescreen version, does the speed limit display on the same row level as the "speed - Menu - Arrival" icons or does the speed limit display higher than that row on the left hand side?

Note this question for the widescreen version only.

Thank you in advance

I have a 265wt and it displays above and to the left of your current speed. Should be the same for a 205w.

Thank you for the reply. I

Thank you for the reply.

I saw Nuvi Nuvi 755t model, the speed limit display is on the same line level as the current speed.

I think this save more map display space and look better when the speed limit display is on the same line level as the current speed.

Wondering why can't Garmin make the Nuvi 2x5 models to do this. idea

Another question, on the 2x5 models, can you turn off the speed limit display?

Thank you

Garmin probably saved money

Garmin probably saved money on the 205W by using the same software as the 3.5" 205, which shows the speed above the info bar.

This makes me want to

This makes me want to upgrade to a newer model. I have the StreetPilot 7200 'cause I need the larger screen, but the features on these newer models are so cool. Where's it get the speed limit from? Is it based on the type of road or is it a true speed limit?

Sorry - I'm not trying to hijack this thread.

It is a part of the mapping

It is a part of the mapping software.I travelled down US19 to I10 from central FL to Destin FL and found the speed limit icon on the gps screen was pretty accurate.Kinda nice when you say to yourself did I miss a sign that changed the speed limit. You can just look on the screen to see what the posted speed limit is.

Here is some discussion on this feature http://www.poi-factory.com/node/19160
