Just got my coupon book from Costco. They will be selling the 260 for $129 ($50 off) from Feb 9 - Mar 1. Only online.

I bought Nuvi 765T today. It is working fine in the car but when I tried to connect it to my PC, it is not being recognized. I have heard that hard rest fixes this problem.

Does anyone know to hard reset 765T?
I will appreciate your help.

I installed Training Center and then Mapsource, and then downloaded the new 2009.11 maps and installed them to my Nuvi. In the process the installer found Mapsource and installed the maps to it also, so I have full street level maps in Mapsource, not just the basemap.

I have a basic nuvi 250. As fas as I know it does not have any capability to support traffic alerts, But am I missing something? i have a problem my nuvi 5000.the msndirect adapter stop working. thing still powers up my unit but can't use any of msndirect. it acts like i do not have the msndirect plug in. it acts like i have the normal plug in and not the msn plug. what can i do to fix it?

i just updated to the life time maps for my nuvi 5000 and now when it loads it says 2008,NAVTEQ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2008 ,(C) 2007 DMTI SPATIAL INC what is this ???

I've thus far been selective on which POI files I've download from this site. But, I was just wondering .. suppose I weren't selective, suppose I took the time to download ALL POI files. Anyone have any idea as to how large of a ".POI" file POI Loader would create? Is there a maximum size? (I did not find anything on my search so my apologies if I missed it..)

I am in Arizona and I left my Nuvi 255 back in Florida.

I found out early on by reading the posts here, that if I wanted to use the mp3 player in my 765T, and still be able to have spoken proximity alerts for some of my custom poi's, that I needed to use the wav and sox.exe approach.

If you have mp3 alerts, and are playing mp3's when the alert is triggered, the alert will attempt to play and fail, and the mp3 player will switch to the next track.

Well I've had it since Christmas, and have never heard the voice announce a street name or place by name. I flipped through the settings screens a few times trying to find an enable/disable option and did not. I do have the latest firmware version installed ...
Any advise?

It seems Garmin is making GPS owners to go through hoops to get the free 60 day map updates.

My folks who registered their new Nuvi online and a friend of mine who did the online registration within 60 days were offered the 2009.1 map update, but at a cost of $69 for download or DVD.

loaded school zones on my garmin nuvi 265wt. So where are they. how do I locate them on my unit?

Note that this problem is also present in the newer nuvi 7x5 unit software v3.10 and -seems- to be related (but as yet unverified) to ecoRoute.

I've found a problem with nuvi 7x5 unit software v3.0 and traffic data using the GTM 20 traffic receiver. I am not receiving traffic data for traffic incidents closer than approx. 6.0-7.0 miles away with the 765 using v3.0.

I have a Garmin 255w and am having trouble entering addresses on interstate highways and or numbered roads in general is there a correct way to do this
an example would be 3000 highway 121 Bedford Texas

For those who may have wondered, especially the newer nuvi owners like myself, I decided to email Garmin Tech Support and ask about the significance of the different colors of the roads as displayed on my 765T.

here is the reply from Garmin:

I was wondering if anyone has or knows how to put a screen saver on the Garmin. When it is plugged into USB it just sits there on the same screen while it is charging/connected and it seems like that is hard on the sreen and could cause an eventual burn in. Any way to change that?

Does anyone know the proper way to remove "Eco route"?

Hi Folks,

Newbie to the site here!! Looks pretty good, glad I joined. I have a Garmin C320, and C330.... I have been reading a bit about POI alerts and so on... the unit will ding when coming up on a POI.... How is this done on my units? That is... if it is capable of doing this... many thanks!!
