I just shipped my second 765t back to Garmin. The first one kept shutting off when going down the road. One time it went off for 16 hours on a trip. It came back on the next morning. I also had problems with it's directions. Instead of putting me back on a freeway about a mile away it kept trying to route me cross country on secondary roads about thirty miles out of my way.

Help how do you reset the trip log.
I turned it on 1 time 1 month ago then turned it off after 1 trip. I turned it in again today and the blue line showing me where I have been looks like it is everywhere I have been in the last month. Can't you reset it for each trip?

Can someone tell me or point me a post where it explains how to add announcement to routes I make using Mapsourse. I am trying to use custom announcements like "sharp curve" "eating spot" ect. to my routes.

Looks like Garmin couldn't pull it off on their own; Asus is now in the mix.

I just bought a garmin nuvi 310 second hand. Im not rich and just seen the new map price £99.99... ouch. also do i need a special speaker as the voice is soooo quiet, an yes the voll is up to max.only the unit and screen mount was on sale in the shop. do i need to register anywhere ?? It was the best i could afford, and would be gratefull for any HELP. cheers. Oldshep..

I have noticed that many of POI icons are not showing up properly on Nuvi 765 screen. All I see is green box on top of picture. Some icons are fine. I will appreciate your help.

My Garmin 250W came with a plug in charger for the car, but I did not get anything to charge it while in a house. If I plug it into the computer wit the USB cable, does that also charge the battery?

I have a nuvi 350 and installed two TourGuide POI's - McDonalds.csv with a distance of 3 miles and NP _towers.csv with a distance parameter of 15 miles. When they overlap, I only get the prompt for McDonalds which is the nearer one. What is happening to the alerts for NPR?
If they are "active" how do I "see" them.

Maybe this is a dumb question but I have searched and can't seem to find the answer. I let my traffic expire, actually I thought it was lifetime but Garmin says it was only 90 days. It's a 770. So, I thought I would purchase the lifetime deal but I can't find the unit id.

OK - I'm heading for Miami to catch a cruise ship going to Caribbean. I've got a nuvi 750. Why can't I plot a route from Miami to Barbados using pedestrian mode?? It tries to calculate and says it runs out of memory.
Can I track the ship, at least, and see where we are located. Maybe I can help the captain navigate!! What about the tracklog feature. Does it work over water.

I've tried every possible way I can think of to download tracks from Mapsource to my Quest of a trail ride that a friend took through the Ozark National Forest. Mapsource appears to do the transfer correctly by showing the transfer progression bar and then saying 'the data was successfully sent'. However, the tracks do not show up when I look for them in the Quest.

I'm new with Garmin and received my 255W at Christmas.

Even though it came with the 2009 map, I upgraded it to the latest 2009.11 map. I also updated whatever using the webupdater, of course Ecoroute was installed with it and who knows what else.

So here's the question - Is it possible that with the 2009.11 update that it will start navigating with a different route?

Hello new to this having a had time loading poi icon on my garmin 755t, same with the sound can someone help me.

I received external antenna for my Nuvi 765. I connect antenna to my nuvi and put the antenna on the roof top. When I checked signal stength, it was very good and showing 3 meter accuracy. While driving on high, GPS lost signal 3-4 times. I never had this problem before. Is it a defective antenna? I will appreciate your advice.

Nuvi 765 or 7x5 models have Globe View of the map but I could not figure it out how it works. Has anyone enabled Globe View? I will appreciate your feed back.

I bought a Garmin 260 in June, 2008 and every time I use it I'm impressed. We're spending 2 months in the south while there is snow in Illinois and we've use it to find restaurants, post offices, Wal Marts, state parks, libraries and grocery stores. It's never failed us and we always arrive on target. What did I do before Garmin when I only had state road maps?
