Looking for a place to go this summer? Try Oshkosh, WI, July 20-26, 2015. The largest gathering of aircraft in the world. http://www.airventure.org/index.html

Sure

They always lower the prices of things after I buy something new smile

Too many factors

There are a lot of factors to consider and they will vary from product to product. Factors can be where the product is in it's life cycle, how is it selling, what selling season is it currently in (holiday, back to school, etc..) competition, are just a few.

However when new replacement products have been announced and there is lots of old inventory in the channel those are good times. Knowing when that is can take a lot of research.

Bottom line, buy when you want and need it, then enjoy it and don't worry about what the price is doing after the fact. That being said most retailers have a low price guarantee so if you are buying from a brick and mortar retailer it's best to ask what theirs is.
