Garmin talk

So who here enjoys bigfoot stories and what not? At the begining of the year I worked on some POI files with information that I got from bfro.net (Bigfoot Field Research Organization). They are the locations from all the bigfoot sightings in the USA from the date of the famous Patterson footage location all the way until the begining of 2009.

I wanted to make a simple route on my 1350t with two vias but it lets me only make one. When I make the second one the first one disappears. Is there a way to do this?

So I just downloaded the poi loader from the garmin website so I know I have the latest version of it. For some reason when I load my POI's it locks up when it is trying to load all of them. I have tried to load both directly to the unit (nuvi 205w)and also to the SD card inside of it (1gig free).

I was wondering if there was anywhere to see what the latest software updates for one's gps unit contain. Like the update's release notes. Just curious what these updates are doing. I have garmin nuvi 205w and just updated and wanted to see what the update brought along with it. thanks!

I recently upgraded from the Nuvi 360 to the 765T because I didn't want to spend the $80 to upgrade the maps on the 360, and, new laws are taking effect 1/1/10 in Oregon about hands-free cell phone use while driving and the call quality on my 360 is pretty mediocre.

I feel this feature is so far behind even though I,ve updated four times Poi's have not changed much at all even the restuarants and gas stations that have either went out of business or changed names are not listed is this a garmin scam especially where I live a fairly new community I lived there for four years and my Icon on the Gps is still drivig in fields show me accurate updates.

The more I work with TourGuide, the more I like it...

Being able to use the same POI's for either "On this road" or "Near this road" is great....

Seeing that the naming convention is the way the Garmin determines how to treat this data.... The question seems to be needed to be asked:

Just received an email from Garmin reminding me to download my nuMaps Lifetime update...hey, at least they sent the reminder email.

My wife just came home with a new Garmin Muvi 255W for our daughter for Christmas. Can someone give me a step by step order or walk thru of what I should do to make sure that it is working, updated and registered before giving it as a gift.

I have read quite a lot regarding the TourGuide option of creating radial alerts so I can be alerted when I am within a certain distance of a custom POI.

My question is, will the audible alert that is used(A WAV file for my 205W) play continuously while I am within that radius of the alert or only play once as I go through the radius ?

I know this probably isn't possible, but is there a way to edit the map on my unit manually? The latest map update picked up some construction that they did last year and now completely routes me around a road that I travel every single day. Last year the bridge was out and thus the road was closed.
