Continuous alert or single alert for TourGuide radial alerts ?

I have read quite a lot regarding the TourGuide option of creating radial alerts so I can be alerted when I am within a certain distance of a custom POI.

My question is, will the audible alert that is used(A WAV file for my 205W) play continuously while I am within that radius of the alert or only play once as I go through the radius ?

If it only plays once when you break the radius, then I suppose it would play once as you approach the custom POI and once as you leave the area and break the radius on your way out. Is this correct ?

If you have selected singe

If you have selected singe tone instead of continuous you will get the alert one time when you are within the radius. Based on your settings using manual mode on poiloader or built in distance using gpx file.Settings are located by going to tools, settings, proximity points, touch change under proximity alerts and touch audio at bottom of screen. You will see the selections. You will also get the arrival voice notice once at the location.

Some models using the single tone still get continuous alert even when set at single. My 265 works with single tone and others users have reported same results on the forum.Try it out using the simulation mode.

Using TourGuide in the file name using a radius alert could also trigger coordinates on the other side of a interstate making you think you are getting a continuous alert.Like Rest Stops. The combined Rest Stop file has the coordinates located at the entrance so I would not use TourGuide for them.
