I looking for a AC charger so I can charge my 265WT. Anyone has info on a good charger.

I have downloaded the Rest Areas Combines and Red Light Cammers and a voice for the warning. I do not see a ICON as I approach the location of the red light cammers or receive the voice warning. I also do not see the icon for the rest areas. Can someone tell me what I have done wrong in the installation.

So, I waited for more than a few reports of the new software's performance and two days ago made the decision to update my 1490T.
Another big mistake as Garmin once again proves Mickey Mouse still works in the software Dept. of Garmin.

I have 438 Favorites saved on my unit that included both business stops, friends and addresses. I also set up three sub-categories in my favorites.

What happens when you use manual mode but leave all the boxes unchecked for a particular POI file? I clicked next and it just moves to the next POI file and asks the same question.

The help file is pretty good to explain the options if you check a box, but has nothing to say if you leave all boxes unchecked (which is another option). Is that the same as choosing to ignore the file?

Changes made from version 3.50 to 3.60:

* Fixed issues that could potentially cause memory corruptions and unit shutdowns.
* Correct the colors for topographical maps.

Sometimes I need to keep detailed log of my car trips for work. Is there a Garmin (or other GPS, but I really like Garmin) that does it well. Times and miles from past week or past 30 days would work great for my needs. Thanks all in advance.

I've had my Nuvi 760 for more than 2 years now. Just upgraded to the 2011 map via purchase of the lifetime update code.

With the help of others on this forum I have learned some important issues regarding the two types of Garmin POIs. I had been frustrated by my POIs not "proximity alerting" when using Topo 2008, and now I understand what was happening.

I created a route using mapquest, and did a "send to gps" from the mapquest page. I get a message that the .gpx file was successfully sent to the 350, but when I look for the route, filename, etc. I do not see it on the 350. What am I doing wrong?

Do any of you use a CB while traveling? 40 years ago everyone had one but I don't see them anymore.

Let me tell you my story... I started with a Garmin GPS ColorMap in 1999 – a few years later I replaced her with a 2620, the 2620 was replaced by the 770 that I purchased for myself (European maps), a 760 that I purchased for my wife, and a 750 that I purchased for my son.

New to this in car gps so bear with me. Purchased a Nuvi 1340 in the UK with the European map set on and also a micro sd card with the North America maps on. Thought it would be neater if I could put the North America maps on the internal memory (there seems to be space) and use the micro sd slot for the poi's. Can this be done; if yes, how?

I did a not so good move today...I was deleting voices and adding vehicles and somehow or another, i deleted the file named gmapbmap.img off my garmin c530. I have searched high and low to try to retrieve the file, and now I am worried that I bricked the GPS. I found one online to download from garmin, but it was 100+ mb. The file I deleted was like 6 or so.

We have just returned from travel to Rochester, Niagara Falls (both US & Canadian sides, Canadian vineyards, Toronto, the Thousand Islands, Ottawa, North Conway, NH, & the Maine coast at Wells (just south of Kennebunkport).

The trip was great, despite the warm weather we're having on both sides of the border. The Nuvi performed well but not flawlessly.

I have a Nuvi 880, but have used computer-based navigation for years (e.g. Delorme's Street Atlas) while RVing. I am trying to determine the value of using custom POIs on my Nuvi (such as Walmart POIs). So far, I have two conclusions:

Is there a hack to set Garmin Nuvi 350 to open with map automatically so I wouldn't have to tap on the screen each time I start the car? Garmin support people told me it can't be done, but has someone heard of a hack to do this?

Still being pretty new to the 1690 and also to the world of POIs, I have a few questions:

1) If I get a GPX POI file that includes prox alerts... and use the manual mode in POILoader to select the warning distance... which will take precedence? The built in distance or what I use during manual mode?

I go to google maps and create a custom map. Then i go to send and there is no tab to send this map to my garmin? Do the same thing in Mapquest and the the tab shows up Hit send the transfer is done. Create the custom map in my garmin but when i preview the map it re organizes my custom map and takes a different route.

Costco.com has the Garmin 1690 on their website. Not a great price but it's Costco. JR(through Amazon) has the Garmin EcoRoute for $99.00. The $99.00 price is good until the end of the month.

i set up my route using Google Maps, and loaded it into my Garmin NUVI 1300 but i did it more than once, and i only need one of the maps, but i need to know which map i am deleting. how can i view the map without waiting so long is simulation mode?
