While driving to SEATAC Airport in Seattle Washington from Bellevue, using the Australian Lee voice, I noticed every time the unit tried to tell me to get on WA 405 it would tell me to take Western Australia. Continue on Western Australia ??? Maybe my garmin Australian voice was getting home sick????

On my last trip from Chicago IL to columbus OH my Street Pilot did some strange things it had never done before. The last map update is 2010.1.

Three times it zoomed WAAAAAAAAY OUT. This happened when a new waypoint at some distance was the next waypoint. But it has never zoomed that far out before.

Someone please explain to me how the little traffic delay number in the upper left hand corner of my Garmin 255 wt works. Do you add the delay time to your ETA on the screen or is it already added in? Today for example I am driving on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago and the delay is around 25-30 minutes pretty normal for Chicago on a Monday morning.

Is the subscription to traffic updates worth the price? And does anyone know how much it costs?

I have had my new 3790t for a week and have a question: In Voice Command Mode how do I get results (like a Starbucks or Cracker Barrel) that are on (or close proximity to) my current route? Right now it gives me all options and I speak one, but I do not know if the one selected is on my route. I can do it manually, just really want to use Voice Command and not push buttons while driving.

I have toll roads on my avoidance list. Living in the SE Seattle area this is no big deal since there are very few.

I was returning home from NW Washington (Port Angeles area)and wanted to use the Tacoma Narrows bridge. There is a toll going this direction.

The Nuvi's first choice was a route through Olympia 60 miles out of the way.

Is it possible to show the distance remaining to destination in place of the estimated time at destination? Would make more sense as the ETA is based on so many variables. As an aside how does the Nuvi 1300 series calculate the estimated time of arrival?

I knew this was going to happen. With the new (improved?) update method from Garmin and the lack of the .exe file being available, I've lost European Junction View on my 755t's SD card.

I've had a Nuvi 1450 for several weeks and for the first time I had the opportunity to see Junction View in action. It was totally cool, BUT I don't much care for its implementation.

I am trying to get photos alongside favourites in a GPX file I created and I cant understand why it isnt working
Due to the fact E63 wont show phonebook on the 1490 I have setup my contacts as waypoints and would like to include the photos

here's my situtation. Ever since hooking up the Ecoroute HD I have had nothing but trouble with my 1490T. The HD screwed up the thing so bad that the Eco Challenge and Mileage Calculations became all but useless.

I'm thinking I've seen images of a nuvi with a top line reverse red video custom POI alert.

Can any nuvi do this? My alerts are black rectangles in the top half of the screen with hard to read letters.

If so, I haven't seen this process spelled out so I can learn how to make my 1690 do this.

Got my first moving violation in 20+ years last May. NOT happy. Cop says School Zone lights were on. I don't believe that (3:45pm!) but what does that matter? The city is short on cash and has raised the School Zone speeding fine to $200 + court costs ($49).

Now that I've got the Europe map (microSD) for my Nuvi 260, I got to wondering if I could import that data into MapSource for use on the PC.

Tried the obvious (transfer from GPS) by checking maps on GPS, only to be told "no data".

Any simple way to do this?

Does anyone know how to turn off the "Location-Relevant Offers & Cuoupons" in the nuvi 3790T.

When you stop for a short period of time at a construction zone, red light or are waiting in line for whatever the 'nag' screen pops up.

My Garmin Nuvi 1300 all of a sudden lost satellite reception and will not regain it. It is not a windshield problem as it has worked in this truck for over a year.
It keeps saying 'loss of satellite reception" or if i turn it on and off "aquireing satellites" but it never does.

Anyone know if this is a simple fix? Is it worth repairing?

My 265 now seems to have a major problem getting sat signals properly. Even when it finally gets a signal it shows me off-route by about 1/2 Km and the speed readout is very erratic. I've reset everything I can think of but, no change. Anyone seen this before ? Any suggestions?
