I have a Garmin 60csx now and will be getting a 1490lmt for Christmas. Will I be able to use the same Mapsource program to upload info. to either unit?
Just bought a new 5th wheel and starting to plan a few trips.

Finally broke down and bought lifeime maps for Garmin. Now I really have to make sure I don't lose this unit. I wish it was my lifetime and not the unit's.

We are going to take a long trip on Xmas. There is three different routes to take. Three routes/highways are very close. How to plan certain route I wanted?

I have a Nuvi 760 containing the latest software updates and maps 2011.3, when I either drive or simulate traveling over a particular section of freeway it either locksup during normal travel or shuts down during a simulation run.

The roadway I am having an issue with is where I-275 northbound in Farmington Hills, MI ramps on to 696 eastbound in Farmington Hills.

Someone broke into my car last night and stole my 755T and about $10 in quarters (for parking meters). Of course I have it password-protected, so I guess I'll keep an eye out for someone pulling up in front of my house to get it to work.

Anyway, the issue is what to buy as a replacement. Requirements:

- 4.3 or larger
- Lifetime maps and traffic
- TTS
- Lane-assist

I just received my Nuvi 1390LMT and started using blue-tooth. My phone is not capable of syncing the phone book. Is their a way to make a phone book list without having to set them as favorites with a lat/long position. It would be nice to have quick access to a phone book style list to call numbers not associated with a favorite location.

I updated my maps last night and now when my 1690 tries to restart I get the message "Loader Loading" at the top of my screen. Also I cannot see the garmin when connected to my computer. Any suggestions?

I remember my other old GPS have pages show the status of satellites, including how many satellites can be seen and the signal strengths. However, I am not able to find the info on the 1490T, nor have seen the instruction in user's guide. Can someone help?

My nuvi 680 GPS fell out of a pocket in my jacket when I was taking it off. Although the fall was probably from about 3 feet, my GPS suffered no external signs of damage and it works fine when plugged into the car adapter. However, the unit no longer runs on battery power. It worked just fine before the "drop test." Does anyone have any ideas? Thx!

I know there are other posts dealing with the issue; however, does anyone know a reasonable way to transfer the MP4 to MP3 files as the new iTunes seems to convert EVERYTHING to MP4 regardless of whether it is copy protected or not.

Hi - I am new to the forum and have a question. Can I generate a GPX file on the Nuvi 360 and see it on google earth?

My job is taking me to Australia after the holidays (Melbourne primarily). I'll be spending most of January there. Garmin wants $130 or so for Australian maps. Since it's not likely I'll be returning (at least not anytime soon) it's difficult to justify $130 for 3 or 4 weeks of use. Do I have any options that would let me use my 885T? Someone told me Garmin sells time limited copies of maps.

I would like to copy the POIs I have on my 1490T to my 1490LMT. Does any one know if this can be done? If so, how? I'd like to avoid starting from scratch on the 2nd unit. Thanks!!

After weeks of flawless performance, my new 1490LMT has started to give me the silent treatment.

No more sound at all, not even the little "beeps" when pushing the on-screen buttons.

Mute is not on, the volume is set to 70%.

When I go to the "Audio Test Page" there is a message INCOMPATABLE AUDIO." That message is always there, no matter how that page looks when I leave it.

I have had Garmin GPS devices for several years now. Today I test drove a a Dodge Grand Caravan with a Garmin-Built GPS Automotive Navigator in the dash. We actually already have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and I specifically did not get a factory GPS because I wanted one that can be moved from vehicle to vehicle.

I have a Garmen nuvi 265WT. I just downloaded the updates and new maps for 2011. In mygarmin.com, I tried to download some extras. It said there are none for this device. I thought that was a little strange. Then, when I started looking through the gps afterwards, my extras option is there, but has no data. Why is there no data, and why can't I download new stuff into my extras?
