I have an older nuvi that does not have enough room on it to hold the newer map updates. the nuvi does have an sd card in it.

Is there a way to get the whole update on the nuvi?

I have a Garmin nuvi 760 and it was synced with my 2 year old Verizon LG phone.

I just got a new Verizon LG Cosmos 2 and cannot sync it with my nuvi.

I remember having many problems syncing my old phone with the nuvi and just when I was giving up all hope I got it to work. But no this time.

I am planning to buy new nuvi 2495LMT.. Anyone using this new 2012 model? Any suggestions? My last one got stolen (from the car..) i am pissed but gotta move on with life..

Is there a comprehensive csv file format guide, used for loading POI files? (Including behavior affected by the csv file name). I've found a ton of information about one aspect or another, but never found a complete reference, including how settings in the file relate to settings provided at POI loading time.

I replaced the battery in my nuvi. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a year ago. I replaced the original battery because it could no longer hold a charge for very long. I am now starting to notice that this "new" battery doesn't power my nuvi for very long.

I'm working on changing from a 276c to a Nuvi 1490T. I've succeeded in copying/transferring my map sets from 276c to 1490. What didn't make the trip were my custom Waypoint Symbols!

How do I move, copy, create, or otherwise get custom "map symbols" on my 1490?? I've read thru POI Loader instructions and see nothing there.

When I go to the Custom POI and click on the GPX to download and open the poi, I get a msg that "window can't open the file". This doesn't happen with a CSU POI. Why is this happening.

I ran into a dumb problem with my Garmin 275T. It was recently updated to latest firmware. I usually load POI files to SD card and then accept installing them to unit when it asks for it.

By sensitive I mean which Garmin nuvi will lock on to satellites when others can't. I was checking out a route to use in a few weeks on Sunday. I put the same route in my 885t and my 765t. I was checking them sitting in my recliner in the family room with no good line of sight to the sky. I didn't particularly want a satellite lock but the nuvi does that automatically.

When I click on the 3D Map to get the overhead view, my 855 shows a very zoomed out view. (I can see maybe 8 states). Each time I have to press the zoom in + button about 10 times before the map is useful.

Previously I had the opposite problem, the map view initially only showed a block or two.

And this is the 2nd unit. We were approaching the GWB, and the traffic alert was solid red. Then the unit froze right up, and nothing besides letting it run out of battery would get it to reboot. Very frustrating. It's a good thing the car has a factory NAV with XM traffic so we could figure out what the traffic issue was.

Since I got my traffic function working, for the first time a few days ago the traffic icon appeared on the screen for my entire trip. At several stages when I touched the icon it displayed "traffic is up to date" I wasn't driving in areas I have not been driving before.

Hello everyone, I can link photos from my SD card to my favorites and I see the photos when I call up the favorites. However, when I turn the unit(1490LMT) off. The photos are unlinked. What am I doing wrong?

After loading POIs on my 1490LMT's microSD card, and powering the unit on, I get the following message:

"New Extras data found on card. Would you like to install this data so that it will be available if the card is removed?"

Hello all, My 1490lmt often warns me of traffic delays when there are none.(icon turns red) This can happen in the middle of the night when there is no traffic at all. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just returned from a road trip to Seattle and Vancouver. Had two problems with the GPS, one big problem, the unit was very slow to recalculate a route and another problem was the unit would not turn on one time. It finally came on just before I was ready to toss it out the window. Just wondering if anyone has experience the same problems.

I did this trick while on the road to keep my GPS battery from dieing and it worked for me as a temp fix... As many people have posted in other discussions the car lighter power cable connection to the mounting cradle is not very robust on the 765T model. With that being said my GPS kept tellin me that I had lost external power and my battery was low.

Every time I do a map update... I have to go through my system here and un-block everything that I normally block.....

Garmin is using one or more of the following to update maps, and if they are blocked, your router will disconnect from the internet to protect itself....

ok, i have a new Garmin Montana 640T would like to get some maps equal to the city nav. maps, but cant pay the high price, is the a free map set that would work? any help would be great.
