Can anyone tell me how to change the start up screen on a Garmin nuvi 660?

What I did yesterday was. I did an update) Garmin's website and everything went fine and today underway to Kingston. We tried our Garmin and there is no Canadian on it whatsoever. Would anybody have any idea what went wrong

I loaned out my Nuvi 760 only to have it returned with a non-operational touch screen (video worked) due to a cracked screen. Ebay has several companies that offer replacement touch screens for the 760 - I choose the unit WITH the frame and tools - this was a perfect choice because detaching the frame from the screen would be a nightmare....

Just found that Target has several models on clearance. I picked up a couple 255W's for my 2 Jeeps for $49.98 each. If you need a cheap unit for your toys, you might want to see what your local store has in stock.

I merged the Cracker Barrel .gpx file with the Current.gpx file in my Nuvi and I now have all the Cracker Barrels on my GPS my saved locations and no more memory. How do I undue what I did?

I looked at some post on eoroute but havent seen what I am looking for. Yhis is for those who have set up the function and using it.

I did my initial setup- price per gallon, city mileage and highway consumption.

next I am "At the Pump" setting.
1. Fuel price - this is straight forward
2. Fuel used - I guess this is the amount of gallons consumed.

Recently bought the nuvi 2460lt and the Ecoroute hd and I have followed all the instructions to a t and during the setup of the Eco route it keeps returning a " cannot connect to
Vehicle" .

The landcruiser is a 2006 model

Is anyone else having problems installing this?

I try, it seems to install, and then when I go to the web page it complains that Garmin Communicator wasn't found.

I've been chatting with Garmin about it and they've said:
- make sure Mac is in 32-bit mode (it is)
- make sure Safari is in 32-bit mode (it is, but I don't remember having to fool with this on previous versions)

Has anyone encountered the problem of their Garmin sticking in night mode? My 1490LMT is set to auto-switch between night and day views but this morning around 10:30 when I got in my car I noticed it was still on night view. Any info and possible fixes for this problem appreciated.

If so, did you find it to make a perceptible difference? If so, in what way?

Is it possible to play my Sansa Clip player through my nuvi 855?

You can clear the trip log to get rid of excess files. Are there any excess data when you receive traffic information over weeks and months? I am trying to figure out if the new data overrides the older ones or are they stored. If the data is stored how can we erase it to free up space?

Is there anything I should know about downloading red light camera files? I have done it in the past w/ windows 2005, I know have Windows 7 and a new nuvi 1350 LTM and cant seem to see it downloading when following the instructions. It says to "save " instead of open is this correct? When I save it just downloads the Excel sheet and doesn't open the poi loader. Help!

I occasionally have my Blackberry connected to my GPS for hands free talking. Last week when I got it connected, I could not get rid of the symbol in the corner of the GPS that meant I was using the phone.
When I tapped that, one of the options is to HangUp. This didn't work.

Hanging up my Blackberry by pressing the red phone didn't work either.

I was looking to buy a Nuvi 1690 as a second unit primarly for the nuLink feature but found out that a Canadian unit will not work in the US and a US unit will not work in Canada. A rather stupid setup for a device thats made for traveling if you ask me. We live one hour from the US Canada border and make several day and weekend trips to the US. We also drive to Florida at least once a year.

Hi....I see their are two services for my Garmin Nuvi 660 offering traffic updates. Can anyone provide some information on them? One is Navtec and the other Clearview. Is this a one time charge?

I want the rest areas to show up on the map while we're driving. How do you do that? Can anyone point me in the right direction
