it looks like the only difference between the two is the screen. 4350 screen is 480x272 and the 4370 screen is 480x800. I was thinking about geting the 4370 but in the BB store the glare on that screen was very bad. I can only imagine what it would be like trying to look at that during the day in the car.

I just joined this week, and yesterday, I emailed them asking if it was possible to download TripTiks to a GPS, similar to the way you can download routes and waypoints from Mapquest.

they replied that AAA has an exclusive agreement with Magellan.

any Magellan owners tried that?

Anyone else have these problems with their Magellan?
1) Tapping the screen sometimes register as a double tap.
2) If the brightness is set to 1 or 2, the unit will change itself to 3.

I've been using a Garmin Nuvi 200 for some time now and recently decided to upgrade. I have finally decided on the 4350. This unit has practically everything I want in a GPS unit.

Can anyone who has moved from Garmin to the 4350 (or similar Magellan unit) relate their experience?

I have some questions in ref to my 1412 Magellan. Ive owned the thing for I guess a year and has really helped me out of a couple a jams, I love this thing

My question is this;

I want to install several PIO files from this site and notice that there are also sound files and Bmp files associated with those PIO files.

Hi, I just got a 1412 for Christmas and I've been trying to load some custom POI files (.mgln), but my Magellan only seems to recognize file in its internal memory.

Can you load custom POI'S into Magellan Maestro 4350?If you can how do you download custom POI'S.

I'm trying to figure out the bluetooth functions of 4250. Cell phones seem to work fine, but haven't really tried out the fancy features they have, other than the basic ones. One thing I noticed is that the phone jack marking on the 4250 is misleading.

I have a 3250 and had a hard time hearing my call and wanted to increase the volume. I used the main volume control on the GPS and also maxed out my phone- are there any other adjustments possible- thanks!

What is the structure of the "My POI" directory & files therein? Is there a way to include custom "icons" & "sounds" for my Custom POIs? I've searched, but haven't found anything using custom icons & approaching "sounds". I think I know how to build a custom POI file, and label catagories, but I would like to set custom icons. I own a Maestro 3250 w/POI Editor 4.1.1.0

Is there a way to get all the latest USA poi in one big Download in stead of downloading bits here and there. I just got a Magellan Maestro 3250 and I want it to be fully updated. I bought a update maps 2008/2009 thinking there's poi updates but when I hit the poi button it ask me to insert in my SD Card which I have BUT no poi.

I have a new RoadMate 1400. According to the package, it was supposed to be pre-loaded with US, Canada and Puerto Rico maps.

However...it has US, Hawaii and Puerto Rico loaded.

Why is that? When I tried to register the unit on Magellan's website, it would only allow me to register under the 1400 "US ONLY" model.

Does the "Basemap navstreets version" have to be the same as the "Detailed Map NavStreets Version"?

My 3225 had both a "Basemap Version" of 29...Upon doing the update. Basemap has still 29, while Detailed has 31.

Occasionally I come across a place that lists the coordinates INSTEAD of the address. Is there a way to input the coord. as a destination instead of using an address ??
