4250 and bluetooth headset, file transfer...

I'm trying to figure out the bluetooth functions of 4250. Cell phones seem to work fine, but haven't really tried out the fancy features they have, other than the basic ones. One thing I noticed is that the phone jack marking on the 4250 is misleading.
Has anyone tried to figure out if it's possible to connect a bluetooth headset to 4250 so when someone is listening to the radio in the car, you can still hear the 4250 instruction clearly?
Also, is it possible to use the bluetooth file transfer feature with 4250 so you don't have to look for a USB cable or SD card every time you want to update your personal POIs?

TIA.

There is no "phone jack" on a 4250....there is a symbol but no hole. The hole above is for the traffic service antenna.

I believe the bluetooth in the 4250 functions AS a headset and therefore would not pair with another headset.

Because it functions as a headset, it won't do file transfers.

4250 phone symbol - Mislabeling?

Yep, there is the headset symbol or label, whatever you call it. But there also is a "hole", albeit a (mini)USB one. That's why I mentioned it's misleading. There are plenty USB headsets out there. By putting such a label by the USB jack easily makes one wonder if that's also intended for headset usage.

I think you may be right regarding file transfer - there is only headset profile exist. None intended for bluetooth file/data exchange.

Thanks for your feedback.

USB headset?

I hadn't considered that possibility.
The manual says power only, but that isn't always the final word.
If you "discover" anything, please let us know.
