This popped up in one of my Facebook groups. I almost forgot that Magellan still makes GPS devices.
If any one is interested I have a Magellan Gold that I would part with quite cheap
My system lost all maps. I need a copy of existing maps to load on sim card reader for unit. I need the loader program also.
Bought a 9490 to replace our 9145 that has 'issues'. We have over 400 addresses that I'd like to copy to the 9490. Magellan flat out says it can't be done. I was able to copy a file folder named 'address book' from the 9145 and I pasted it onto a Micro SD drive. I connected the 9490 to my laptop and I can see that the file named 'address book' was copied onto the native drive on the 9490.
I just tried to install and use a POI file on my Magellan Roadmate 3065 and it doesn't work. even the older one I installed a few years a go doesn't work now.(after software update). So I'll be saying so long to Magellan and stick with Garmin from now on.
Just updated my 3597 to 2016.20. My wife found a new restaurant (opened about 6 weeks ago) that she though would be good for supper so I did a search, GPS & Basecamp, but of course I did not find it. This morning I did a search on Smartphone Link on my Android phone and I found it.

A friend handed me his Magellan Roadmate, I think its an model 2136T-LM, to see is I could fix it for him. I believe he was in the middle of an update when it died on him. I have all Garmins but I'll tinker with anything.
I'm travelling both east/west thru Topeka, Ks and cannot find any mile markers/entrys to the Lawrence and Topeka service centers. Is this this type info available? If so, where?
i purchased the nuvi 2797 LMT to replace my dying nuvi 760
Are there other 2797 users who have some advice or tricks they found ?
I have an ongoing problem with my Nuvi 2595 either freezing or shutting down while in mid-trip so I plan to exchange it for a 2598. I'm assuming the 2598 is a newer version of the 2595 but could be wrong. Is there a way to download one's settings (POIs, etc.) from an existing device and then upload them to a new one?
I have an old Maestro 4040, the one with the AAA data.
It works great, but the touchscreen calibration is way off.
There is a touchscreen calibration procedure in options.
I did that, and it went around a couple times and finally completed, but the calibration is still way off in a vertical direction.
I've been trying to load the red light camera files on my dirt cheap 5045 with no luck. The tools and directions that are recommended here for doing the deed seem very old (~2008). I cannot find Roadmate tools and the Content manager that came with my 5045 doesn't seem to have any provision for transferring anything not bought from Magellan.
I am considering the purchase of the Magellan RoadMate 9250T-LMB w/ a 7" display and wireless back-up camera capability. Can anyone tell me if it supports 3rd party POI's like those found here on the POI Factory? Also does it allow for multiple voice selections?

Hello all! I just inherited a Magellan RoadMate 2000. My mom bought it for my dad and he never used it so it's like in mint condition! It's a dated unit but it works just fine. I am interested in creating custom POIs. From my research in this forum and through searching on the internet, I think I need some software that did not come with the unit.
How do I transfer a POI .csv file from my PC onto my Magellan GPS?
This Magellan unit has routable street maps but I do not see any way to load a custom POI. There is a directory on the unit called ./Custom_POI
I was wondering if I am missing something or if this unit just doesn't do user defined POIs
This looks sort of interesting.....
