POI projects

I've got an excel file with all US Walgreens, the majority of which also have phone numbers included.

I was planning on tackling this after the Dollar General project but if anyone wants to start it up let me know and I'll send the excel file.

I'm putting together a Dollar General POI file.

Should have it ready by this afternoon and it should include ALL 8,000+ locations. These guys open and close stores pretty constantly, though, so I'd appreciate updates here if someone runs into any locations that aren't open anymore after I post it, or any new locations that I may miss for some reason.

Has anyone thought about trying to directly contact retailer headquarters in order to obtain full store lists?

I know that I probably have access to a few of them from Midwest retailers who I do business with and I'm planning on calling tomorrow at work, but I don't think you need to be anyone special to get these. Has anyone tried anything like this?

HI everyone I am new to the site and I'd like to share my red light camera locations but the issue is that I see the add a new camera location but I can't see the existing locations. Is there a list or map of the current cameras? I saw the list of newly added locations, but they are listed by area only.

Where can i find poi's for this?? i have city nav v8 nt on my nuvi350 and i cant find alot of the good spots. and is there a way for the poi icons to show up on the map while im driving?? im trying to have as many icons as possible on my map so i know where is what

Hello Everyone,

I discovered a POI in the red light camera file that *may* be in error. That is, I can not see a red light camera at the intersection. There is a traffic camera for a local news station. Perhaps the entry was based on that camera. Does anyone know how to report this?

If someone could post a POI file for Carl's Jr. restaurants, I would be forever in your debt. I have a friend who will only eat fast food from a CJ. He asked me to update the software on his 60CX and I wanted to slip this file in too and surprise him.

I have downloaded various POI's and have been searching for one that includes all NYS campgrounds with no luck.

I was able to make a contact at the NY DEC and had them send me a file with all the info. I just uploaded my first file called "NY State Campgrounds".

I hope others can benefit from it!
