I thought it would be a great project. 'Get a POI for all the Texas Historical Markers'

Hello All,

Recently, user w2irt found an error in our AM radio station files which resulted in incorrect tower locations. The error has been corrected and w2irt has spot checked several locations and verified the accuracy. As a result, we have uploaded all of our files which contain that correction. If you have previously downloaded, please replace them with the current files.

For anyone looking for the Business Loading Dock Locations file that was under the Project heading...it's now under Transportation.

I should of mentioned this when I moved it. Sorry.

I did some searching for locations of toll plazas on the Dulles Toll Road and Greeenway. Didn't have any luck.

Has anyone compiled this data yet? Was going to creat a POI of all toll plazas in VA.

i have a program that will take the legal description of land and give me lat/lon at any point on the land--how do i get this to my garmin GPSmap76Cx

Anybody else have trouble getting companies to give up a master list of all their locations. I have a membership with 24Fitness gyms that allows me to use any location, on the old website they had a State by name method, but the new site is zip code based. I have been given the supreme runaround by the company trying to get a club list.

Post your favorite thrift stores in this thread and we will see about making a POI Factory File like the auto repair file. Homquist sent me a note that gave me this idea for a fun file. I love to go thrift store hunting myself and find all the treasures that they have.

Doing my small part for my new (nuvi?) community, I have started a project to create a POI file with all of the ACBL sanctioned duplicate bridge clubs.

Does anyone else have a club list or an association list? I would hate to be relegated to "other" ....

I am thinking of adding a poi file that lists streets and roads that are restricted to trucks.

There is nothing worse than starting a turn onto a street and finding that trucks are not allowed or restricted as to size or weight. Then we have to bottle up traffic as we try to back out of the situation. Not a pretty sight!

I just created my first POI file and shared it. I put it under "Canada" cause that's where it is. I was also going to add it the liquor store category, but I don't see one. Do you think there would be interest in one?

Edit to add: The one I created is for Newfoundland and Labrador. As dbw198 points out, there is already an LCBO one for Ontario. I didn't make that clear in my original post.

I noticed a Motel 6 bmp but don't see a Motel 6 POI file in the alpha listing. So if there is a file, I'm not seeing it. Is there any use of the bmp without the file?

Are there any POIs specifically for theaters, auditoriums, civic centers, coliseums, etc.? I'm looking for venues that would have music concerts.

A friend of mine is a truck driver and needs weight station POI's. Has anyone ever seen such a file, or know where we could find one? Thanks.
