Garmin talk

I have an old Garmin Streetpilot C310 nd vista 32 bit. I have downloaded the poi loader from the Garmin site and have placed the Exe file on my desktop. When i click to install the files unzip and i am getting click next to install, then agree to accept the terms and then click done to launch poi loader now. The page then closes and nothing more happens.

I have down loaded diners driveins and dives can i just now transfewr to a sd card and plug into my garmin 650 ? thank you

Is the warning time for turns adjustable?
My NUVI 350 is a little slow on the draw. Sometime's it lets me know about turns at the last minute.
If I am going a little fast I almost miss my turn.

I registered my Fathers Nuvi and opted to take the Down loadable Map update, i tried to open it numerous times and it keeps locking up! Has this happened to anyone?

I tried to use my 885T as a hands free cell phone and it sounds like junk. When I use the FM Trans coming thru my car speakers there is no problem. Is there anything that can be done about this other than using the fm transmitter. I also have a 660 and that one works just find..

Hi everyone.

I have a Garmin nuvi 680 which I am filling with POIs, currently working on food joints, so that I am covered wherever I may be in the US. Have currently 36 POI files with associated .bmp icons which I would like to combine into one.

In an effort to free up internal memory, I temporarily moved the pre-loaded gmapprom.img file out of the nuvi and into my PC's hard drive. When attempting to reinstate the file into the nuvi (via windows copy by dragging and dropping the file into the Garmin folder of the nuvi), the copy operation repeatedly fails with about 30 minutes remaining (at about 40% complete).

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems,downloaded update just fine,clicked extract,after about 20 mins window pops up says extracting,after 2.5 hrs still on 0 percent,
any thoughts ?

I'm using MapSource on the PC and have the 775t. Is it safe to delete the older map folders and data from

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\maps

I think i know the answer but i'm bored and wana make sure,lol, Anyway is there anyway at ALL to transfer my updates for/from my 350 every time to SD card for my 320 to keep that updated too? it reads maps off a card so if i can get to sd and can read it it's plug and play for my 320.

Was there a firmware update I missed or is it new? I plugged my 265T into my PC and saw a new software update from MyGarmin page from Garmin's website this morning. I clicked the link and it started updating my firmware.

I show Software version 5.30 which I don't think is new and a GPS SW Version 3.10b (which I think is new?) from 265T.

I haven't tried to send a location to my Garmin from Mapquest for a Long time but I know I have done it before. Tonight I tried to send a Museum location and all it would do was email. The 'send to GPS' wasn't highlighted. Have they changed the rules?

My GPS has lost the constellation twice while it is in use, Once in Allentown,PA and now here in Oakland,CA

I recently muted the traffic voice because I knew how to get there and I got tired of listening to it. When I turned my 760 back on, it was speaking Afrikaans rather than American English. I went in the Garmin to see what was in the voice file and all languages were listed, including English. However, I don't think I was looking at the correct file because it was not a text to speech file.

I noticed that with my nuvi 750, when i got into the service menu, that there is a bluetooth status page(6)

I would like to know if it would be possible to put it to "on" since in this menu it states that it is "off"

I'm thinking of a 5000 for an ATV GPS. Power is not a problem, and I'm really liking the big screen (us old guys need those big screens).

I would like a cradle instead of the old ball and socket, but I haven't seen any. When it rains I'd just put a baggie over it (seeing as it's not waterproof).

Need Help:
I downloaded a home depot alert Sound mp3 file to my Gps unit Nuvi 885t , however when i reach the destination i hear no alert.
Note: My proximity points is eanbled and all files are the same..Home depot.csv, Home depot.mp3

I am a truck driver and used a nuvi 205 for work, i just purchased the 465T, how do i transfer the saved favorits (work related sites) from the nuvi 205 to the 465T?
Again i know this may be a dumb question to some, but i am really new at all this.

I have a Nuvi 660 with a GTM20 traffic receiver. I have a lifetime subscription but noticed today it was not working correctly. when i checked my traffic subscriptions it listed my US lifetime subscription but it now had a traffic subscription for France. Last week when I used my Garmin traffic worked fine. Does anyone know how to delete it?
