Who is doing this POI file? I bought a map of low clearnces in Chicago. I can help with a few there. I would have to geocode them.

I have a Nuvi 265 WT and it is proving to be a versatile machine that has surprised me. I downloaded Garmin's map of Canadian Inland Lakes - Ontario before going on my vacation to Lake Muskoka in Ontario, Canada. I downloaded the Lakes map right into the Nuvi's memory - no problem. Here's how it works. When you're on the water, the position of your boat is accurately depicted on the lake.

Hot on the heals of the leaked FCC information for the Nuvi 1690 comes word of another model on the way. This one is the 1860 which will include things like a 3 megapixel camera, multimedia player, access to email, internet radio streaming and streaming video.

I tried to use my 885T as a hands free cell phone and it sounds like junk. When I use the FM Trans coming thru my car speakers there is no problem. Is there anything that can be done about this other than using the fm transmitter. I also have a 660 and that one works just find..

Heard on TV station KWWL that Cedar Rapids, Iowa was planning on adding Red Light cameras soon. No details yet.

I bought a nuvi265wt, downloaded POIs....why arent they showing up as I pass them ....driving me nuts...lol

How do I download sound alerts off this site so I can use it on my Nuvi 765T (mp3) files seems I can only click on them and hear them how to download/save them can someone help me with this.

Does anyone know of a cheaper price than $94.07 from Amazon.com?

As was leaked over the web a few weeks ago (see http://tinyurl.com/pwlb9y), Garmin has applied for FCC approval of a new Nuvi, the 1690T. The FCC how has a copy of the proposed Quick Start Guide available.

Did a long trip last week and had loaded several POIs onto my nuvi 760. I had loaded the files in subcategories.

The problem that I encountered was when arrowing down through a list of custom POIs, the mileage to the POIs changed, but the description of the location did not change.

Looking for a SD card for my Garmin 1350....what size could anyone recommend & brand....Please

The day after buying my 265WT from a local Costco for $219, they send me my usual email offers for Costo.com and it shows that they have the 765T on sale for $279, delivered. Is it worth the extra $60?

So far the 265 WT works well for me, but what is it I don't have that the 765T does, and is that worth 60 more, I wonder....

I have tried several times to load a .csv file using POI loader and it has given me the error message above.

I broke the file apart and was able to load it seperately but I would like to have 1 file for it. Any Suggestions or help would be great. It is a big puzzle for me because I created the file several times the same way I have other csv files and still get this message. Please help.

Sorry if this has been posted before, I didn't see it if it was. I just bought a 205 and want to add some POI's. As I said above I used the POI Loader but it only loaded the .csv files and not the .gpx files. When I have my folder loaded with the .gpx files only and want to load them, Loader tells me there are no files in that directory. Why doesn't it see the .gpx files? Thanks in advance.

And I really want to avoid the red light cameras, so I'm hoping that I am able to download an up-to-date POI file to the NUVI soon, so I can stay out of trouble.

Still having problems downloading more than 1 file.It was suggested in a previous post that I send the files together in a group.I did this to my download section,highlighted them all and sent them to my numi.When I go to my extas icon its headed with "custom pois".when I open it it still has my original file and not the new ones.When I attempt to send the files again I get a menu stating the file

version 3.60

Text 3.60 (American English)
Voice 2.30 (American English-Jill)

I removed my SD card for the update and I only keep music and POI's on the card, not the GPS. All went well. I left this am for a short trip and then came home. Poi Alerts all worked fine.

How would I back up my 885T to my Computer ?

Has anybody compared the Garmin 885t with 1490T.

I finally decided to get 885T until read gpsmagazine.com review which is very positive (as things going I will keep using my C580 and never upgrade).

I know that there are some bugs with unit.
There are always more real world value from user's experience than a single review.
