When you send a map thru mapquest to your gps where does it go, I cant seem to find it anywhere ..

Does anyone know how a Nuvi 7x5 series does routing and trip time estimates? I have a 755T and it seems much more accurate in trip times then my previous nuvi 600 series, but does this mean it now uses average speed data in each map update? If so, I will definetley be subscribing to lifetime map updates.

After the incredibly positive response we had with POI's on our vacation.... I decided that I would re-consider the traffic information options....

I browsed the posts here on traffic information options, and found one I thought sounded best, and then contacted them about a demo..

Why contact them about another demo when I already had had a free 30 day demo? Let me count the reasons:

I purchased and downloaded a Pigtones voice for my Garmin GPS. I thought it was a no-risk satisfaction guaranteed opportunity. So I figured I had nothing to lose. The download and install went smoothly, but the voice did not work properly. The messages were cut off by The Garmin, and the messages did NOT provide turn by turn directions which is the main feature of value for me with my Garmin.

Is there a way I can send map directions to my 885T from my pc. Like from yahoo, mapquest.

I just updated my 265wt to firmware v 5.30 and I noticed that it wants me to update some voices as well. I checked into it and these are legitimate voice updates released on July 24 and not the phantom updates that we often see due to buggy Webupdater/Nuvi issues.

All the TTS voices are updated from v1.00 to v1.10.

I am going to use my Nuvi 750 for walking tours in Italy.

I have made routes for my tours.

When I start a route then stop for a while to see attractions I plan on turning off the nuvi to save the battery.

My question is: If I turn off the nuvi during a route, when I turn it back on will I still be able to use the route even though I am not at the beginning of the route?

I need help in requesting that gate information be added to Flight Status. This is especially important for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and probably true for other airports as well. Frequently American Airlines changes terminals and gates on aircraft arriving and departing.

Hi. I have been trying to do a software/firmware update on my nuvi775t. t still has SW V 2.3 on it and needs to updated to the latest v 3.6.

I have it connected to my USB and it goes into the Mass Storage Mode.

I then start WebUpdater and it sees the unit and reports it as "Garmin G: ".

Wouldn't it be nice to have a program running on your PC which could be directed to look at a directory in which POI files (csv, gpx, ...) were kept, check the date of these files, check whether newer files existed at the POI Factory & download them into said directory if a newer file were available.

I had a 660 that I gave away because I upgraded to the 885T. My question is if I would buy another (GTM-20)receiver plug would I be able to get the traffic or would I have to pay again ?

Ok i have loaded the beta file red light camera file. The last time i loaded both files in the folder but was told only to load one. So i have done this. I am not getting a voice alert when approaching a camera, only a screen alert. The mp3 voice alert is named exactly the same as the camera alert! Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I have a Nuvi 855. I updated a couple of POI files and changed the distance alert for red light cameras. The changes didn't show up. For two days I tried everything, and nothing would work. In frustration I deleted all of the POI files to start over but they were still showing when I viewed the map. I checked the POI folder and they were deleted, but still were showing on the map.

Is there a way to load the POI files to the SD card instaed of internal memory?

I have tried on 6 occasions to renew my MSN lifetime traffic, even went through MSN's tech support and kept getting an error at the last screen that told me to try again. They received the same error during 4 trys.
I downloaded the latest updates for my unit 4.6, and am still receiving the error during activation, please try again message.
