I installed the large JVC file to my PC. do I just copy it to my SD card

Yesterday, I put in an address indoors while walking to my car and my Nuvi 765t went into simulator mode. When I got to my car, it stated that GPS was off and it did not log on to the satellites and stayed in simulator mode. I tried shutting it off but when I turned it on, it still registered at my original location and not where I was driving.

I'm a new user to the nuvi 3597 and I'm loving it so far. One of the very small annoiances so far is that only about 5% of the built-in POIs seem to have custom icons, which I think makes the experience a little more fun. Locally, I see specific 'custom' icons for a few places like Wendys, Chase Bank and Long John Silvers.

Was wondering if someone could help me with loading multiple GPI files on my Nuvi's and Zumo's? I have a number of GPX files that I keep on my units with all the associated BMP and MP3/WAV files - and some of these are TourGuide files.

I am upgrading my old Garmin 255W to a Garmin 2555LMT. Will my old Micro SD card containing all my extra POI files fit into the new 2555LMT and work?
Hopefully I will not have to manually download my POI files onto a new Micro SD card.

I have a Nuvi 2360LM that will not locate POI's along an active route. It will only find POI's around your current location. I talked with Garmin a couple times and am not having any success in resolving the issue. Just wondering if anybody has this issue and or may have a fix.

Anybody know how to (or if you can)delete individual 'recently founds' on the Nuvi2797? Prob also applies to 25xx and 35xx series? All I see is the option to delete ALL of them.

I bought one of the 2013 line of Nuvi models, which supposedly work with Smartlink on the iPhone. Since I set the unit up and installed Smartlink on my iPhone 5, I have had nothing but problems pairing the phone/Nuvi. Finally, I wrote to Garmin about it. Here's the response:

It's coming and it's a big one -- over 3GB -- Too large for most devices internal memory.

So get these 4GB+ SD card ready. They're cheap now-a-day anyway.

I tried to install using the usb cable, too much work. I removed the chip and installed it in my PC. Transfered the photos no problem. If I can help more please ask, prjones520@gmail.com...

IM living in Montreal (Qc) and I have my Nuvi 2360LMT since ~2 years and traffic information in only for highways. Do you know if there's any chance that one day we can get traffic info for other streets as well?

I am looking for a refurbished Nuvi 2797LMT. Is it it too new for a refurbished 2797 product to be in the marketplace?

Hi all, I recently downloaded an updated POI for Redlight cameras and speed cameras and my Garmin does not show symbol and alert me anymore when I come close to the cameras anymore. It used to alert me and show symbols when I came close to the cameras. All other symbols and alerts presently work. What could I have possibly done wrong?

The day i got my new Garmin Nuvi 2797 i made a backup copy and noticed there seemes to be no large files. Am i missing something. My computer (Windows 8) isn't supposed to be hiding any files. With my old Nuvi 1350 i backed it up and deleted the large img file before updating and it all fit everytime. With the 2797 i don't see any img files.

I have the Nuvi 3790, which I generally like quite a bit. I like the voice command feature, because it seems like every time I look at my GPS I almost hit something.

Does your 3597LMTHD have a Trips folder on the internal drive? I didn't make a backup of the internal drive when I first used it few days ago. I tried to make a copy of all the folders today and there's a Trips folder that has gibberish files and sub-folders in it. That folder will not copy.

3.40 firmware is available

This method is valid for my Nuvi 1350. It should work with all Garmin models as long as internal R1 is the same.

It's no easy task sticking probes into mini-USB male cord end, so I hope you find this useful for reverse-engineering all kinds of USB-cables, both mini, and micro(with the use of mini-to-micro conversion dongle.

Garmin uses assortment of resistors to identify the cable type.
