I updated to 2014.30 it downloaded the map files to the SD card the JCV showed 0 bites, I change the JCV to VCVX anyway.

I am new to this and this is my first post, I have come into a problem with my new Garmin 3597LMT

When i opened my Garmin and turned it on the traffic updates wouldn't work, so i went to a friend with this and he formatted the whole thing! I was furious to find that not just have i had troubles with the traffic now i have nothing!

I have 2595LMT and a 255WT. My POI files with alerts work on both, but on the older 255WT, the icons marking the POIs do not show up unless I get the alert. Is there a way to make icons show on the map all the time form POI files?

I'm planning on replacing my Nuvi 765 due to random rebooting and a number of other problems. The one feature that I will miss is the MP3 player.

I'm aware that Garmin no longer offers an MP3 player. Will the current Nuvi models such as the 2497LMT with Bluetooth sync with an iPhone and play music/podcasts through the Nuvi speaker?

Hello: Today I noticed traffic function is gone from my Nuvi 265WT, which is supposed to have lifetime traffic. I don't know how long ago it happened. My wife has been using for the past 2 years. The unit appears to work normally otherwise. I still have the original power cord with the traffic receiver. I ran WebUpdate and installed all available updates from Garmin.

Is there a list of which Garmin units DO NOT support creating a route on the PC with Basecamp (or Mapsource) and sending it to the GPS?

I created routes on my 2597. When navigating the routes I find there is no lane guidance in the upper left hand corner of the screen, only the turn indicator. This is a real bummer. There is lane guidance on a simple go to, but none on created routes.

I have a new Garmin nuvi 2597LMT and for the last week, I have been creating/downloaded/editing POI files and learning about how to upload POIs to my unit with the Garmin POI Loader. I manually created my POI files. My first effort to upload about 10,000 POIs was successful. I designed my own icons and prepared my own audio alerts and all worked perfectly.

Fixed strings being displayed in multiple languages in the UI

Fixed issue where changing the activity profile of an individual route leg wasn't applied unless one of the via times was also changed

I am converting from several old Garmin devices to a new one with lifetime maps 40LM. (I am not happy with the 40 series as it is slow and missing many old features.. will upgrade again soon). I have loaded all the favourites from each old device into BaseCamp so I can sort, rename etc and reload onto the new device; or any future device for that matter. However, I am a little confused.

For those interested. There is Time Zone update to version 13.0 through WebUpdater. Changes:

I typically download my weekly tracks to MapQuest on Sunday evening. When I did so this evening, is showed no tracks, routes, waypoints or maps. Checked the drive and GPX folder was empty. WTH?

Unplugged and plugged in again and Presto, everything was there.

Go figure!

My 3590 suddenly responds with "The route is too long. Navigation instructions are added as you approach the destination" when it is turned back on after downloading routes from Mapsource. After the message is displayed, I checked and found that none of the routes have been loaded in.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but do any of the newer Garmin units display a different color for hospital or university/college areas? I have a 3760T and the map only differentiates areas such as airports/military/reservations (other than city limits and parks of course).

I just updated 3 nuvi's and I am now out of hard drive space on my computer. I know I have read on the site about deleting the maps that are installed on your hard drive when you download the maps but I can't seem to find it. Would someone please enlighten me as to the correct paths to follow to find these maps? I certainly would appreciate any help given. Thank you in advance.

I created a route in the above mentioned program and exported it to my computer as a ".gpx" file.

However when I try to import this file into BaseCamp, I keep getting "Error".

The saved gpx file can be converted to a KML file and imported into Google Earth.

Can someone supply the steps and software links to enable the gpx file to be imported into BaseCamp and then my Garmin Nuvi 2595.

I have a Garmin GPS with external traffic receiver GTM 36 power supply cable. I am having some trouble with it. Is it possible to get the wiring diagram for GTM 36 antenna.

I did a search and did not find this topic. I recently bought a 3490LMT from Amazon and just noticed that the GPS upper left corner has an irregular L shaped darken spot, slightly larger than the size of a quarter. I am sure this is not the outside glass coating and has to be under the glass.
