Hello all!
Hoping somebody will be able to help....
I have an old Nuvi 360 that came with USa maps preinstalled.
I have access to Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2013.10 and can choose which part of the European map to load up onto the Garmin device or onto an SD card.
I've also seen this past forum topic:

So, on the face of it the new maps will not work with the Nuvi 360.
however, what if I were to download only a small part of the Europe map (say, only southern England) onto an SD card; would the 360 then be able to read the maps or is there a more substantial firmware/software clash between these new set of maps and the 360?
Thanks,
TT
I believe your thought will work
Welcome to The Factory.
As I read the Garmin faq, the issue is a file size bigger than 2GB. If you have your Europe 2013.10 on a computer, Mapsource or MapInstall should let you create a subset of the full map (keeping the file size under 2GB) that should work with your 360 assuming that the map you have access to was purchased and linked to your nuvi (copy and paste the link to your browser):

You say "you have access to the Europe map." What does this mean? If the map is the Garmin SD card version, I doubt that you can do as you wish--and if the "access" is the Europe map that was installed to another person's device, you won't be able to use the map since it'll be locked whether on your computer or device.
Thanks Craig W! When I say
Thanks Craig W!
When I say that I have access to the Europe map I mean that someone gave me a map that 'fell off the back of the cyber truck" as it were.....
The 360 does recognize smaller sections of the Europe map and I was fortunate enough to be able to give the device to someone who just left for Europe so that they could test to see whether the Nuvi 360 loaded with just a part of the Europe map will indeed link up to the satellites and work properly.
Since the device did recognize the smaller map file ti may work...unless it needs more 'computing room' when it operates and then, even if the Europe map is smallish, the 360 may not be able to handle the work load as it's pretty full wth the updated USA map. Does that make sense?
Anyway, thanks again....
