My Magellan 3225 CD did not include the POI software editor/manager. Where can I get this software?

Hello! I've liked my 2200T in the states here but was very disappointed to see there are no maps available for Mexico for it. The "topo mexico" pack doesn't appear to be compatible with my model-

I'm wondering if there is any way to load a map or get some use out of my roadmate 2200T down there.

I have a Maestro 3225. As I passed by a location that I wanted to put in my own enhanced POI file, I went to the "Current Location" screen and saved the location, which goes into the address book. True, I can now route to that location, but I need the Lat and Lon coordinates in order to enter it as a POI in my enhanced POI file.

I know this might sound silly but I downloaded the 6M POI files to my 3225 but it still looks the same to me. Is there anyone to confirm that the larger file downloaded correct and is loaded? Thanks

I am new to this and just bought 2 units. A Crossover for me and a Maestro 3225 for the wife. Updating the 3225's POIs from 1.5M to 6M was no problem thanks to a simple replacement file found on this site (link). No such luck for the Crossover however. Can it be that the 3225 recognizes .POI files but the Crossover doesnt. New to this so please help!!!

Does anyone know how to change the voice on a Magellan? I'd like to get rid of the female voice.

Does anybody know a way to get a QWERTY keyboard on a Magellan Maestro? I have the 3225 and the only touchscreen keyboard that comes up is the ABCD keyboard. It would be a little easier entering city names, street names, POI names, etc. if a QWERTY touchscreen keyboard were an option.

Has there been any Maestro 3225 firmware updates lately? If so, are there any significant changes to the GPSr with this update?

I have the Maestro 3100 and downloaded the redlight/speed camera database and can not get it to work. Does anyone have a working copy that will work with this model? If so please let me know. I am looking for the complete list of locations.

I also know Alabama is supposed the be getting some cameras installed soon. Once I find out the location I will post it for everyone.

I just buy the Magellan 4250 GPS an I am very disappointed of the way Magellan is using the GPS to force peoples to use the AAA roadside Assistance, I pay 400 dollars for this GPS because one of the best

They're tech support line doesn't work (option #4) so choose sales (option #1) and ask to be transfered to tech support. Companies always want to take your money! smile

Version 4.1.1.0 of the Magellan POI File Editor comes with the 3225. It does not appear to have the 1000 POI per category limitation previously posted in this forum. I loaded the Combined Rest Area file from this site which has 1816 POI entries, and all 1816 showed up in the final .mgln file.

Does anyone know how to re-calibarte their magellan for accuracy? I know the units are supposed to be accurate to within 5m or 5' I can't recall, but mine's off by about 30-50m, which means i'm often missing turns (even with the voice on). Any thoughts on this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With Magellan Maestro 3225 connected to PC(Windows XP service pack 2) via USB and SD card inserted in 3225, my PC does not see the SD card. I can load MGLN files to the internal memory of the unit, but not to the SD card. So far as I can tell, the SD card is only good for backup and restore purposes on this model. Anyone have a different experience with 3225?

I saw a discussion on icons with Garmin units, but I couldn't find one for how or if this could be done on a Magellan. Can someone point me to where I would find this information? I have a 3225.

I got an email from Magellan announcing an update and free upgrade with marine and crossover features to my Roadmate 2200T. Apparently it's a disk and an SD card.

On their site are updates for crossover and Roadmate 2000 models, at the same price. Finally!

I am having a problem searching POI's by name. For example; I enter the name of a known POI, and then it doesn't matter if I choose Near Current City, Near What City, or Near Address it ALWAYS hangs and then resets to the main screen. Works OK if I search POI by category, or search using AAA Tourbook, or select a POI icon on the map screen.

I am trying to add my POI's to the POI manager so I can up/download? them into my mag4040 and It will not take the address I have from this site of a negative number.. it keep saying I must add a number between 0 and 90 the numbers are -81.5766 and 28.34617.
In case you can't tell I am VERY new to this (first post and first day on this site)

Read the suggestions about converting a POI file to a .mgln file. I did that, loaded it onto an SD disk. The Crossover GPS says there are no filesmfrom the disk and my computer doesn't seem to recognize the GPS when plugged into the USB. Any suggestions?
