Magellan talk

I have just bought a Magellan RoadMate 300R from Tucson, AZ. When I enter directions to an address in Phoenix, AZ., it provides me incorrect directions to the freeway. I am 20 miles on a direct routed to the freeway, but instead it informs me to take side streets.

Also, if you want to save your own directions to a certin location, can you?

Any suggestions to correct this problem.

A couple years ago I recieved an explorist 200 and I would like to use it for geocaching. I have used this gps very little and would like to know if this gps is good for this and if so how do I go about using it.

The included window mount works great in the car, but on the motorcycle I need something stronger. I ordered "Ram" brand mounts which are pretty good but I need the final piece, that interfaces with the actual unit. The included mount uses plastic and I would prefer something stronger because of the rougher ride to make sur eit doesn't fall off.

My Dad received this unit with the travel pack that includes the MapSend DirectRoute software - I cannot load it on either of my PCs running Windows XP - has anyone else had a problem with this?

I have some GPX files that I've taken into my Magellan POI software to edit, and that saves them as MGLN file format. I can't seem to find a way to save them back as CSV from Magellan. Any suggestions? I wanted to share them here, but don't want to have to keep modifying two files of differing extensions.

Someone please help me here. I'm not new to the GPS game, just new to all these new portable models out there. I just purchased a Magellan Roadmate 3000T based on price, functionality, ease of use, etc. Now I think I've made a mistake, and I'm completely depressed about it.

Question - I'm mapping Lake Norman, North Carolina, for all of the shoals, channel markers, islands, harbors, marinas, etc., and am wondering if anyone has used the RM 3000 on water? I also want to change the Icons/Images used, but not sure if that's possible.
