pois / address

trying to put the new paula deen family restaurant in my garmin but it doesn't find it by restaurants or specific address . its 131 the island dr suite #8101 pigeon forge tn 37863 . what could I be doing wrong ?

I tried in 2 garmins

If you use address I get nothing. If you use intersections (Parkway and Island Dr it shows 2 choices.

Map errror.

I was able to resolve the address on my 3597 by removing the "The " from the street name. I changed my search to search near Pigeon Forge TN, then typed "131 Island Dr" in the search field and it found the closest spot on the correct street. The Garmin map does not have the spur that goes off to the left on The Island Dr. Note that I have the 2017.10 CN NA map.

Using Google Earth, the closest I got is this:

-83.570136,35.802641

Is it close?

My suggestion was already said - to remove the units. It seems Garmin doesn't really like resolving them in an address.

which

is often easier said than done. When you scrape addresses from a website or list, the placement of added items such as the unit or space are in no way consistent. It's not so difficult with a small list, but when it starts getting into the hundreds it becomes very laborious as each location has to be hand edited.

Common denominator

... and also reduce the street name to the most basic common denominator: don't use N/S/E/W, Blvd/St/Rd, etc. The resulting list should include all those and you should be able to choose the correct one.
