is there a way to have more than one gmapsupp file . 3rd party so they cant be built in mapsource.

I have a Nuvi 260 that I bought in June 2007.

I use it about once to twice a week and normally plug it in while in use, although my charger has a tendancy to pull out of the outlet in the car, so it isn't always charging.

When I went to NV last december, i could get 4-6 hours out of a full charge.

I was just wondering what the best accuracy you have ever gotten on your Nuvi was. With my 750, and without an external satellite antenna I was getting about 20 ft. of accuracy. With my Gibson high gain antenna plugged in, I consistently get within 8 ft. of accuracy. Considering that's shorter then my car, I'm pretty pleased with that.

I just downloaded the rest stops file and noticed that there are icons and voice alerts available but I can't figure out how to download them. Thanks for the help.

I've had a Garmin Legend that I've used for 3 years now. I just got a Nuvi 205 for my Auto's. My question is (Which may be a dumb one, and I've looked for an answer)..

Just updated my Nuvi-260 to firmware 5.0 and noticed another update that was available called "GPS Chipset Type B."
Can someone please tell me what this is and whether you recommend the update.
Any help would be appreciated.

today I went in my settings on clicked on the wrench and my proximity button is gone??? I can find my custom poi's in extras but nothing to turn them on or check the alert button like I used to. I have a nuvi 760. any ideas?

I do not know how to save favourites of my novi 760 to sd card ,

Can I save some of my Favorites as a POI group/set on a 760? I have about 20 or more businesses that I frequent and it would be easier if they were in a POI set, hopefully on top and not last on my POI list. In fact I could do away with most of the sets that are on it already.

Why is the Garmin user manual so bad? Without this site (POI factory) and other tips, tricks I found on the internet I would not be able to take full advantage of my Garmin. My Nuvi 350 has so many features and everyday I find out something new about it.

Has anyone thought of setting up custom POI's for the subway system in New York? I would like to be able to know exactly where to get off to see the various sites in New York or specific streets. It would also be helpful to tell you where the subway access points are (to get back on) as you move around the city.

I downloaded three CSV files for Super 8, Days Inn, and Best Western Motels. I sent all three to the device using the POI loader and they are supposed to show in the "Where To" - Extras but they do not show up. What am I doing wrong?

im looking for a more interesting drive around town and i would like some celeb voices for the drive, i performed a search here but couldnt find anything downloadable, ive been lazily browsing here and there for 2 hours but i could not find much in this category

can anyone point me in the right direction, i dont have a huge budget so i dont see it worth paying for a new voice.

Is it possible to make a POI file that is able to use the bluetooth phone category able to be dialed? I have tried inserting phone number into the fourth column, but it still does not allow me to dial using bluetooth. I can get it to dial if I add them to my favorites, but not a Poi. Is this possible? Can I convert my csv to another file type and gain this functionality?
