I was going to buy a 770 at Costco.Ca yesterday and then I happened to lok at gpscity.ca and it is $389 there plus GST and shipping. There is NO PST charged whatsoever and that pretty much makes this a GREAT price!

I'm a nubie and I bought a Nuvi 750 about 2 weeks ago. I called Garmin and they sent me a map CD US Map Update 2009.

FYI: You might like the www.schmap.com website as it has programed tour maps of many popular cities in the U.S. and around the world. It also allows you to convert any of the recommended tourist sites and restaurants and hotels to Lat/Longs.

This listing is on Ebay Canada and has been also discussed and warned about on other GPS forums. It is offering "THIS GENTLY USED GENERIC SD" of the not yet released version of the European 2009 maps.

I'm new to the whole GPS world, and I have what may be a stupid question. I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 200W, and I know that Garmin makes a GPS for Runners (looks like a wrist watch). My question is, would I be able to use my Nuvi to do the same thing? I would just like to track how fast I'm going, and distance. If I can use my Nuvi, how accurate would it be?

I need some help finding the database points in Mapsource (and on the Legend Cx)

I have only had the StreetPilot series, and have had someone ask me about getting a Nuvi. Does the 200 series power chord plug into the mount or to the unit directly? In my research it looks like the 300 and 600 series do plug into the mount, but I haven't been able to tell about the 200.

I finally went on the Garmin website and "updated" my maps on my Nuvi 750 I bought over the winter. I followed all the steps to update the map data, including turning unit on and off, connecting to computer so I assume it updated. Yet I am wondering a few things- is there a way to tell what "version" is on your unit somehow?

when i load my POI's there are some that by default has proximity alerts turned on, so i have to manually go through all my POI's to turn them off.

Is there something i can edit in the file itself, so that everytime i load my poi's in the loaded, i dont have to go through them all, some examples are white castles, and 7-11. Thank you

Everytime I want to put a pic up next to my name either nothing happens or the same pic keeps on coming up. What is the correct way to post a pic.

Doesn't look like they did much to update POI Loader.

Hi,

I was wondering can the Boot Screen that shows warning message with agree button at bottom be Disabled. If you do nothing the screen goes away on its own so I dont understand the reasoning for it at all. I would like to remove it so that it isnt annoying me during startup extending my wait time. If anyone can help it would be Greatly Appreciated.

Does anybody know why this might happen? My Nuvi 660 has been periodically installing the Bluetooth update I had downloaded a while back. Not every time I turn it on, but intermittently. Of course when that happens I lose my settings and have to resync.

does anyone know how to access stored info on garmin c330. i would like to edit recent selections to include more information etc. thanks

When connected to a computer via a USB cable would the battery receive a charge?

Selecting (from Tools) the "Where am I?" screen on the 750 I see three selections to the right side of the screen. Hospitals, Police Stations, Fuel.
Is it possible to Edit, ADD, to these menu items?

Does anyone have any experience with the Nuvi 260?

Sounds like line breaks in the description for custom POIs has been a problem for various models. Is, or was this a problem with the Nuvi 255W?

I can't get my POI Descrptions to show as multi-line text. I am fairly certain I am creating the csv file correctly.
