does anybody know the link for the latest firmware for the 250w. i want to download it for a friend and cant seen to find the link anywhere.

They will need to use WebUpdater. Garmin stopped posting the firmware for the nuvi 2xx series for some unknown reason.

is version 2.6 and I don't think that that is the latest.
Version 5.0
Just updated my 260 with the WebUpdater. It found 5.0 automaticaly.
